Default G20: Hamburg sees clashes between police and protesters

Police and protesters have clashed in the German city of Hamburg where the G20 is due to start on Friday.

Organisers had cancelled the march following the violence, police said, but many demonstrators remained on the streets.

At least one person appeared to have been seriously hurt and was carried away covered by a foil blanket.

World leaders including US President Donald Trump are in Hamburg for talks on a wide range of issues.

Think of Major Reno, who after he was sprayed with the remains of one of his scout's brains refused to go to the aid of General Custer. Not everyone charges or stays bravely in battle.
Or the account got changed or embellished in the re-telling. Especially if it was being sold to a newspaper. I doubt any serving member of the SBS was putting out this story, even through an intermediary.

So what if he inserts his dick into a robot that looks like a little kid, it isn't a human.

We going to arrest people for buying cantaloupes under the belief that they are going to have sex with it thinking it is a little kid? Jeez!
It is an evil fetish and I am comfortable with banning it. As soon as you set boundries and draw red lines you will find that some people will cross them just to test you. If we are serious about zero tolerance for kiddy fiddlers then it is correct to punish such things as this in order to defend and hold the line.

I once did a course at the home of the SBS (nothing wonderful I'm afraid). One day after lunch I went to the small room where they kept the papers to catch up on the real world. It was closed with a note on the door saying private meeting. I retired to the bar for a tincture and assumed a position where I could see the only door to the room. One minute the door was closed and the next the door was open. Even though I was watching I didn't see the door open or anyone come out. I told the barman how surprised I was and he said it had been an SBS brief. Even in their own camp amongst people who were their friends they maintained their professional standards.

J R-M is ferociously intelligent and whilst his accent would stop him from being PM (too posh for most people) he would make a great Foreign Minister or Speaker. As my next door neighbour remarked ' I only had one child because that's all I could support, I wish everyone else was the same.' Well he can afford six.
Personally as someone who believes the biggest problem in the world is overpopulation I have a problem with anyone having six kids but at least he is not asking for state support.

I respect your opinion but disagree.

I have carefully listened to what he says - and it is plausible and well argued right enough. But all too often it is just part of the story because he has no life experience beyond his privileged group. I can always think of things that his arguments, temporarily dazzling though they be, have skated over.

My journalist/editor friend (right wing paper) shares my view from his personal experience.

Perhaps you have had different experiences but, on the evidence I have, I would need some persuasion to change my current view.

While certain parts of England is getting a superhot summer, Chicago, Illinois is getting a rare cooler than normal Summer. I live along the shores of Lake Michigan, and so far the highest temperature my neighborhood has received has been 89 degrees F. West of the lake there have been six days over a two week period that had 90 or higher degree days, but that is still lower than what we should have received by now. Most days have been in the low 80's with moderate humidities.

While it is an evil fetish, if such a robot avoids children from being abused, then i would say it is worth it.

As for escalation, what exactly do you mean with it?

Also, maybe such robots could come with some kind of registration and observation of the buyer (just thinking out loud here)

If they are that way inclined, such a law would prevent robot fiddling, but not, alas, kiddie fiddling. Children will always be easier to obtain than a robot for such people.

However, I'm quite certain that such robots would be made illegal, if ever they were made.

I suspect that is indeed likely to be the case. As good as any argument maybe for the use of such dolls to prevent actual abuse they would still likely be banned. Simply because allowing them would give ammunition to people to argue that it then normalises child abuse. No MP or political party would want that accusation thrown at them. So they would simply make it illegal to own one.

In the UK anything classed as pseudo underage is banned so I suspect a sexdoll that looks like a minor would fall into that category. You can now be sent to jail for example for viewing/downloading parody cartoon images of Bart and Lisa Simpson having sex. Even though no child was involved at all and its imagination and a cartoon its still illegal. So I would imagine an actual robot doll wouldn't stand a chance of being legalised.
