I read a book by a robotics professor called David Levy a few years ago, and he reckons we'll all be porking diode before too long, and if you go on youtube, you can see videos of how realistic robots are now.

What I find odd about this (and a lot of technology), is that nobody seems fascinated by the implications. If every bloke could have his own personal 'Seven of Nine', are men going to give up pursuing women for procreation? Are women going to give up entertaining advances from men, because they have their own George Clooney at home?

Will that be a good thing (less misogyny and violence against women, less judgement based on looks etc), or will it be a terrible thing (everybody just gives up)? These are the random thoughts that I think, drinking my tea and doing my work.

Not only that, but they wouldn't get old - so they could continue to look after you when you get frail. Brave New World...

If birds fly south for the winter here in the northern hemisphere, so in the southern hemisphere do they fly North ? Or do they fly south and go all the way around the world ?
