Old Shep
I have a couple of Youtube links you might like. Jism Jim sent me a link where a Dutchman was singing this song. I did some searching and found the guy that wrote the song and wanted to share it with you folks. Thanks to Jim for sending me the song that Nick en Simon sang. I will include that link as well. Hope you enjoy it, I certainly did.

These different names reflect the controversy over its origin, it also comes not from Denmark. Originally arrived in Europe in the fourth century with the Alans, a people of nomadic horsemen of Iranian origin, the Alaunt (hence comes the name Alano, Italy), lost their function auxiliary war when, late Middle Ages, they were recognized for their ability to hunt and courre1, especially wild boar. The immediate ancestor of the current German Mastiff is the former Bullenbeisser, crossed with the greyhound. These dogs were a conformation intermediate between a powerful and energetic mastiff and greyhound fast. The word "dog" meant originally a large, powerful dog, often of indeterminate race. In 1870, Chancellor *Bismarck, who had two, was strongly increased the popularity of the breed in Germany 2. German nationality he was assigned to Berlin in 1878 by a group of breeders and confirmed when in 1880, the first standard was written. The first exhibition of German mastiff was made in Hamburg in 1963. It is therefore increasingly considered a pet. * even a man who took the name of a boat http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogue_allemand |

I know what you mean, and the origins of many species, including humans, are complicated. But I still think a Frenchman comes from France, and that a Deutsche Dogge comes from Germany |
