Found on the internet, real or fake?? Original on left, "enhanced" image on right. (I do want to clarify that I did not do either the original cap or the enhanced one. I just found 'em.)

That is a nice picture anyway Treehugger!

Unfortunately I cannot see it being as it would seemingly appear. I would think that she probably retains control over posed images that are used anyway, and though the image on the left doesn't seem to show much, she probably wouldn't have ok'd it. Also in your enhanced version, it would seem to place the nipple a bit too far round to the side?

That said, it would be a real find if it did turn out to be pukka!! Nice one mate!

While I can't agree entirely about her controlling the use of her image in magazines and such, (only the most powerful celebrities tend to gain that kind of control) I do agree that the photo has been manipulated (not just enhanced)

I play around with brightness and contrast enhancement every now and then, and am able to find the occasional hidden bits. This, though, goes beyond that. When I loaded up the likely original picture and tweaked it, I got only the slightest suggestion of a line. Here's before and after:



I'm sure it was this almost-invisible line that gave the faker the idea of how to proceed. He probably then hit the pic with the Burn tool in the appropriate area. Again, here's before and after, proceeding from the previous step:

You'll note that even then, the darkened area is a more or less straight line, which could only suggest the edge of a bra or pasty. The faker was still only able to make it suggest a nipple by adding a little extra curve on the spot. The final results, then, while more subtle than what I've done here, still came entirely from the faker's imagination.
