It was partly because They believed all the nebulous nonsense about sovereignty and partly because They believed in the Post Brexit"Land of Milk and Honey" nonsense peddled by the Pro Brexit shysters.

The future generation doesn't seem to agree with your definition of 'freedom' indeed they would probably define your views at the very least as outdated. I would see it more as cultural insecurity that most young people don't seem to share. Like them I find I probably have more in common with most immigrants than those natives who seem to suffer from this cultural insecurity. This seems to mirror the divide in the USA.

Naturally I discussed the referendum. I am aware that the younger voters were more pro-Remain and the older generation was more pro-Leave. However you vote as you think to be right, not how other people think you should vote. To be frank I am glad for our future generations that we are leaving. We need to preserve our country; it was never ours to give away, as Heath so wickedly did. Of course I recognise the benefits of a close and cooperative relationship with the EU, but I also recognise the harm done by open borders and by freedom of movement and I am not receptive to this lament concerning the opportunity to live, work and study in the EU: totally I am not.

Many of them were at least given some democratic representation in their Parliament like UKIP for instance ironically.

Also many only have paid holiday entitlement in their employment contracts due to EU law.

Also because they are pretty fed up with the way they are being governed. They will have more power over this after we leave the EU and the Westminster MPs will no longer be able to blame the EU for their own policies and behaviour. I see signs of this already, for example in the way the MPS are running scared in the aftermath of the appalling Grenfell Tower disaster, which is also starting to be a political scandal similar to the John Poulson affair, only a lot worse.

Honestly... British population don't want to share the common market, but why the EU wants to punish the young British students, that's unfair, isn't it?
As long as UK pay for an international exchange between the European colleges and universities, why EU would say: No your children has to stay in your country.
