There is a Japanese sushi called uni which is sea urchin. I tried it on a dare from my mother in law who is full Japanese.OMG talk about terrible. It gushes into the mouth and is cold and tastes really bad. I took a half bite and thought I was going to lose everything I had eaten so far.

Back in my college days a few friends were into what's called the SCA. (Society for Creative Anachronism) Medieval re-enactors in other words. They made this stuff they called Dragon's Blood. It was, IIRC, moonshine and habaneros. Add peppers to liquor, let set for a few months, partake. Now I know most people are going to say "It's booze, why complain?" Both my mouth and ass still hurt from that stuff...and it's been 2 decades.

I once tried Butternut Squash soup. Nah, left a strange taste in the mouth. Horrible gloopy consistency to it. You could use it on a game show to gunge someone.

New Zealand corned beef in round tins, this is made for the maori's and islanders who love it. It must be about 90% fat, you could spread it on sandwiches it's so slimy.

Tastes vile and probably the main cause of diabetes and heart disease in the indigenous population.

One food which I have always despised is horseradish. Many people like it, but I think it has one of the most repulsive tastes of anything edible.

That is the best and fastest way to clear out a blocked nose when you have a bad cold

Usually every winter I'll get a cold, a teaspoon of horseradish with nothing else, you'll breathe easy for a few minutes

I agree with you on this one TM. However, horseradish is de rigueur on the local sandwich, a beef on weck.
