Sting's Russians tune borrowed its opening from Lieutenant Kije suite by Piotr Illych Tchaikovsky.

Finnish composer Jean Sibellius was also the inspiration for 80s girl duo Strawberry Switchblade's top ten hit "Since Yesterday" and I think it was from his Korelia Suite.
