yeah, true. I remember seeing pics in a Whitehouse, and then going to Germany, and seeing the same pics , with loads of hardcore/ really explicit ones added to the mix. (Something Madchen something was the title of the mag, there deffo was the word madchen.)

More of interest (now) are the sets which clearly were UK originated. Did they go all they way ? If so what happened to the harder pics ?

Having dabbled in making porn, I know there would have been no problem getting models to do hardcore in the UK. AIR the going rate in the 80s was £80-£100 for a B/G set, if you weren't too picky about the girl, and were't looking for a cumshot. Prettier girls (obviously) charged more. And most guys seemed to have a problem shooting a load - or wanted extra.

Back to the topic ... I got into porn in the late 70s, so have fond memories from then. I think as the 80s went on, a lot of mags became obsessed with big tits (never ever done it for me) and the whole "perfect production" angle - brighter crisper shots which - quite frankly - ruin it. Porn needs a slighly declasse edge. Otherwise you are venturing into coffee-table shots. Which can be very good. But aren't "porn" ....

Shchuel Madchen ?

On a similar theme, the UK "sexshops" often sold bastardised versions of continental mags. The cover would be nicked, plus some of the softer shots, but it wasn't the real deal.

Again, thanks to VEF, I've located the real hardcore originals

I'd have to say I honestly didn't like Playboy. When I was in my early teens and couldn't buy my own mags, I would rip some stuff out of my uncle's Playboy collection (wonder if he ever noticed?). To me, it's 95% ads and boring articles. Sure the women are beautiful, but I want 100% skin in a mag. When I was finally old enough, I bought Max and Bust Out and other big boob mags. Now THEY were wall to wall skin !

One of the things I tore out from my uncle's Playboys was Karen Velez's spread and centerfold. I was ecstatic to find those exact pics here in the site. Ahh...the memories.

Razzle - Suberb groups of nude girls with superb 80's and 90's pussys (trimmed a bit but not too much), but only hot for about one or two pictures bevor they smeared eachother with food. Grossed me out back in my youth, still does today.

Yeah, could have been actually. Memory is a bit hazy.

Before the internet, German mags were my go to source materiel,that and envelopes of hardcore "under-the-counter-bought-on-a-street-corner-from-a-shady-bloke" hardcore lesbian miscellaneous pics , though unfortunately since I passed them around at work to certain "needy" colleagues shall we say, a lot of them vanished, and the remnants were either nicked by a mover or thrown out by my girlfriend of the time.

Still, I'm very happy this forum is here to satiate our needs for proper material, shall we say.

By Jove man, you hit the nail on the head! Today's porn is so "perfect" it's not porn. Especially lesbian photos. You can feel the fakery oozing out of them like some sort of radioactive jelly.

In the proper stuff (mid-late 60's to 70's), you feel as if the photographer had walked in on the girls having fun.

(Not the earlier stuff from the 50's to 60's, since they just mainly hug naked in awkward positions.)

Larry Flynt wasn't what I would call "far left" by American standards. He was more of a libertarian. He went after right-wingers such as Charles Keating and Jerry Falwell because they went after him first. When the lefties and the liberals (Tipper Gore, Andrea Dworkin) attacked him, Larry went after them just the same.

My gripe with Hustler and the other LFP mags is they are completely formulaic. Every issue has the same layouts. Every pictorial has the same glaring lights over the same buffed up, greased up types of models. It's always the same gimmicks, such as the atomized water droplets on the skin, the crude lighting over the genitals, and the dumb looking O-mouth gape.

For a skin mag that spent its early years setting industry standards, Hustler sure got unimaginative and cookie-cutter awfully quick!
