The Civil List is an arrangement made between the Monarch and the government. The Monarch surrenders the income from the Crown Estates in return for an annual grant , the civil List.
As the Civil List is less than half the income surrendered it is nonsense to say that the taxpayer funds the Monarchy.
Remember also that many of irs functions have to be carried out by somebody and that would cost money too.
Personally I prefer being represented by somebody respected the world over who has performed faultlessly over decades then by a superannuated politician whom nearly half the voters voted against.Who the hell is there that could do as good a job?

Not really, clueless Camergoon would still only be PM. As a republic we would elect a President.

I like Mrs Majesty, she's got style, she's got grace, she's a lady. And I like Harry too. He seems to be a really decent human being with a great sense of humour.
