Today's drink that I had after lunch is from Germany: Der Hirsch Neuschwansteiner Bavarian Lager- Pours a clear golden color with a half inch of head which quickly disappears. Alcohol content 4.7%. Typical refreshing lager with the bitter hops balanced by the taste of sweet bready malts, and also a slight taste of citrus. Just good overall.

Today's drink comes from Lithuania: Utenos Premium Lager. Pours a yellow-golden with a white soapy head that disappears quickly. Alcohol content 5.2%. Tastes of very sweet malt, almost syrupy, and a moderate amount of hop bitterness. Produces an offensive aftertaste which makes this beer poor overall.

After a couple Gössers and Wieselburgers, I could afford only one of these. It costs more than it's worth. Not bad overall but tastes like someone pissed a Newcastle into the bottle.

I was just schlepping round Tesco's, checking out the reduced cabinet and topping up with coffee and Brussels sprouts when I saw this...

...for £2.00 a bottle. Staropramen Czech beer, 5% ABV and just what I needed, I thought, after 8 hours in a stuffy office in front of a computer. Not wrong. It's a lovely, slightly hoppy beer with a hint of malt that is, at this very moment, washing away that dry dustiness and leaving me more than ready for my din-dins. I might even pop in tomorrow and avail myself of the three for £5.25 offer.

Hey if you had to often walk the mean streets of that there Norwich and occasionally see a car number plate that from a distance sort of spells arsehole ,

You`d turn to drink too

Last Saturday was Cinco de Mayo and of course all of the local stores had Tequila on sale

unfortunately the wife couldn't pass up the sale of Jose Cuervo , which we both don't really care for but she had a plan for her and her sister to make frozen margaritas , after one batch she said that I had to drink the rest of the tequila

so I have 1 & 1/2 bottles of crap to drink this weekend ,

So I invited some buddies over this afternoon and will be pushing tequila shots with their Bud Light and I will quietly drink my Bud Light with shots of Cazadores tequila hidden in a bottle of JC

dastardly , why yes but I will not be drinking the JC
