Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

They want to encourage researchers to identify issues and bring them to Intel directly so that they can take prompt steps to evaluate and correct them, and they want to recognize researchers for the work that they put in when researching a vulnerability. The harder a vulnerability is to mitigate, the more they pay : from $ 500 to $ 10,000. I simply wonder what Microsoft will do (they are in the habit of copying). If they do the same I already have a list of W10's bugs to send them.
