That's true. But for many it seems an emotional subject, and Britain is still 50/50 divided. It's difficult to deal with emotional people, even if they're in your own Party. Irrational people are never easy. So I think they decided to let the Conservatives do their worst for Britain, which they are, and wait for the result

This is cynical planning by Labour, because it seems to accept a significant deterioration of life Britain in many respects. But they know that many of their own voters voted "leave" and don't want to lose them. They'd prefer them to see the disaster and change their mind

From what I've read, the disaster may be so bad, that Conservatives will be unelectable for the next decades. The problem is, who else to vote for. FPTP is a rigged system that rules smaller parties out, so you won't have much choice

You seem to have this down as a Conservative plot, the opposite is true. Cameron believed that the remain camp would walk the referendum, Labour were almost silent, and it took a huge amount of persuasion to get Corbyn to actually name his side.

Neither group had the guts to actually discuss the main single issue that British people had a problem with, and that is the millions of EU immigrants in the country, the effect in real terms has been to keep wages down for the average worker, I earned over £18000 a year in 1987, thirty years later there are a lot of people not getting anywhere near that. Class one lorry drivers were earning £22000 plus in 2006 at my brothers firm, he now works for the union and says that £19000 is the average advertised recruitment wage today, this issue needed addressing, it was never even mentioned, but it matters to most working folk, Cameron tried to negotiate some controls before the referendum, and some new deals the EU, refused to listen, this sadly is the result.

Yes, obviously. Without the Conservatives it would not exist. How many on the Brexit bus were Labour?

That's what Labour want everyone to know

Ah, cherrypicked statistics, how nice! The recruitment wage is not what most people earn, so why compare it with an average wage? If I can say it in the politest way, you are a little misleading

Besides, you've forgotten two things relevant for Britain. The most dramatic is the 2008 financial crisis -- the banksters still get piles of money, but everyone else has been on a slow-burner

The other is low British productivity. Wages will certainly rise through inflation, but only increased productivity can make you richer. Productivity means making more for less cost, that's where the profit comes from. So if you're saying immigrants have forced down wages, productivity should have grown, but it hasn't. How do you square that circle?

The haulage firm and lorry drivers that pick up our goods and go to France everyday are all British. Their may concern is not immigration but being held up at the borders for checks/paperwork and the likelihood of massive tailbacks and delays which could put them and their customers like us out of business.

A strike for a few hours at Calais is enough to turn South East Kent into a huge lorry park for days. Just a delay for a few minutes for every lorry would have the same effect.

Excuse me, but what would you have Labour do? Last time I looked, Brits still have majority rule, and since the Tories made a pact with the Ulster Insane Asylum, they have a majority.

I do wonder sometimes if the Met Office that issue these Amber/Red warnings aren't stating the bleeding obvious. For example I am sure people in this country know that the sun is at its most potent from 11am to 3pm and that you should stay out of the sun between those times -but people come out of buildings to get a bit of sun at lunchtimes so unless they are complete idiots I reckon they know a shady space under a tree is much more conducive to the skin than staying right out in it. Schools have broken up so families will be heading to the seaside and other places but still be out in the sun. The best advice is if you are out in the sun at those times, cover up with a tshirt, put plenty of sun cream on and if necessary wear a hat, especially with younger children. I always liked the slip, slip, slap approach taken by Australia and much, much later we sort of adopted our own three way strategy. Still too bleeding hot though!
