Weird or humorous dreams

I would like to start a new thread, if at all permissible by the moderators, about weird or humorous dreams people at VEF may have had recently.

Last night, I had a dream where Kelly Keeling, the singer of Baton Rouge, (an old hard rock band) met me at the now-defunct Gold Circle Mall in Cincinnati. He arrived late to the party, but was driving a really nice classic car, probably a Cadillac from how I remember it in the dream. We shook hands and said "Hi." He was wearing a parka, even though it wasn't snowing or anything.

The funny thing is that Gold Circle Mall finally closed around the time Baton Rouge officially disbanded -- 1991, the year I started high school.

Has anyone else had a dream like this featuring musicians you listened to in grade school?

Once while I was a sleep I dreamt (extremely realistic dream) that I was in my local shopping centre hanging for a piss. So I found my way to the toilet pulled my cock out at the urinal and started to pee when felt something strange on my stomach. It was then I awoke suddenly and realised I was dreaming and nearly pissed the bed.. Luckily only a few dribbles.

That totally sucks. I remember somewhen last year I had dreamt my girl had killed someone and we were fleeing the scene in an old car straight to Paris airport. I seriously had the feel the WHOLE damn day that this actually happened. So in the evening when I returned from work, I asked her what she had been dreaming last night. And she went like "I don't know, something in France"...

@nckgmd: Your dream is similar to one I just awoke from this morning. I dreamed that Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame was at a party with people I knew, including my parents. In this dream, I had the overwhelming suspicion that Colonel Sanders was evil, that he was basically a demonic spirit of some type, and that he was out to terrorize people if he thought he could get away with it.

My father walked up to him and made fun of him (my dad likes to give people a difficult time, just to be funny and see how they react) -- and when Dad concluded the interaction by shaking hands with the Colonel, he gave my Dad an electrical shock from his hand, similar to those old-time buzzer devices kids buy to shock people with, except that the electricity came straight out of his hand. [Palpatine 2.0?!]

Then there was another guy who wanted to make fun of the Colonel. This is the part of the dream most similar to yours: The Colonel unzipped his fly, pulled out his organ, and peed fiery napalm in the guy's face. Talk about a weird dream.

I hope that the Colonel is of no relation to Alex Sanders, the male pornstar who some (many?) of us at VEF know about. If anything, the Colonel might be related to a guy here in Cincinnati, which is right nextdoor to Kentucky; there is a Professor by the same last name at the main public college in town who was a department head when I attended classes there. Most people who know him say that he is extremely arrogant, and always thinks he's so funny and knows everything. Beware a**holes with a master's degree...

One dream I had, I was chasing around an actress from several commercials, like some kind of sitcom episode. At the end, I tried to kiss her and she said, "If you try to kiss me, I'll like you even less than I do now."

It is really depressing when your own subconscious cockblocks you.

Sometime back in the last century I was a working musician principally, but not always as a bassist. Generally in two bands, most of the time.

One series of gigs I had was with a young female guitarist who came second in a statewide competition. Because she was barely 18 years old at the time, blonde and talented the visiting American rock star judge insisted she appeared on stage in Sydney, along with the winners.

This was probably the 'highlight' of her 'career', many, many years before she served twelve months for aggravated burglary.

Anyway, going back to when she was in her mid-twenties we did a handful of rehearsals before doing gigs, each of which bought in many more bookings. (I'd been playing with the drummer in another band and he'd played with her before, so it came together easily). Somewhere along the line we started doing bass/guitar/vocal duos, probably because she was such a diva that many found her hard/impossible to work with.
As she didn't drive we eventually found ourselves 'in a relationship'. I'm sure I suggested it, but it was sometime before she made up her mind... in my experience women always decide these things.

So I get a call from another drummer I know who's wanting to start a band with a European keyboard player with a state of the art P.A system, a very capable guitarist and a young reddish blonde female singer. Initially I wasn't particularly attracted to the singer. Sure she had big hair, interesting cheek bones/facial structure and as she always wore shorts to practice I started to notice she had great legs and an unusual sense of humour.

I honestly don't think I had that much to do with it, but around this time the (1st) guitarist started 'going off the rails' a bit and started to become unreliable. Then I had this dream, in which I was laying fully clothed across my bed with the singer, (also clothed). There was this feeling of 'togetherness'. Nothing had happened, but there was a feeling that it could and any advances would be received.
At this point the girlfriend/guitarist appeared in the open doorway and said "C'mon, it's time to go". To which I replied "I'm good!". (Which at that time had barely had time to become common parlance).

So began a longtime adult crush. I told the singer about this dream once as we were dancing, but it's never come to anything, probably because of our age difference and the fact she has an army of admirers.
Shame really, as we both talk in our sleep.

@Blondifan: Your dream is reminiscent of my real-life second cousin, who is in a mixed-gender power trio. The girl in his band is attractive, with a model-like face; upon seeing her, my father immediately remarked, "Isn't she competition for _", where "_" is my second cousin's real-life girlfriend, who is also a blonde [who actually works for V.S. at the mall...]

I could also add that my second cousin's V.S. girlfriend has the same initials as another blonde, Candice Swanepoel, who is a V.S. Angel...

I read somewhere long ago that most of us dream nightly, but choose not to remember our dreams upon awakening. Or something to that affect.

I'm sure I dreamt something disturbing last night, but all I know now is I can't find my t.v. remote.

I clung to the dream I mentioned two posts ago and the new way I had of seeing the singer, principally as a way of avoiding emotional attachments to the guitarist, who's predilections were very different to my own.

I didn't 'get' the singer. Truth is I liked and respected her partner, at that time. I was happy just to tell her about my dream, which I did long after, on the night that band broke up.

As for the guitarist, I don't remember breaking up. We had some difficulty in getting a suitable drummer and in the space of two weeks we were both seeing someone else. Her new partner later served time on an unrelated incident, after setting fire to the unit they shared.
The guitarist and I much later became "friends with benefits", although we live a distance apart, which is as it should be.

Pure awesomeness. This kind of feel keeps following me into my day and even two/three days later I still remember this incredible moment. Even if the girl was unknown to me and I can't address the whole dream to anything. But damn, so close, so pure. Beautiful.
