Looking back at closer footage it was the Dutch girl who kicked Elise's hand and forced her off, any closer and her blade could have sliced her fingers or hand -desperately unlucky and that Canadian should never have been in the final because she clearly barged the Chinese skater in the semis- the refereeing decisions havebeen diabolical and for some reason you can't lodge appeals as you can in other sports.

Remember this time of day I am using an iPad so can't post pictures or other things like thanks but I will add one later, it's not deliberate,it is the way the browser comes out using Safari or Firefox.

Yes I am gutted for Elise, I really thought she could do it but fear not two other races are coming for her so fingers crossed she can get something in those.

Chloe Kim is not real, she must be a cyborg! The female equivalent of that flying tramp, sorry tomato Shaun White.

You don't have to get upset about it. In the context of what's happened recently. Dare I say everyone, including you, know I'm talking about the girl who looked like was going to have her ankles snapped off in the luge crash.

As far as I'm concerned listening to British Eurosport and looking at the BBC text, you'd of thought there was only Christie and the Korean in the final, so for one to fall and the other be disqualified seemed like justice to me.

As for cutie Christie crying on TV again, it just goes to show how crap UK culture is these days. Play up, play up and play the game girl.

Never mind the class act of these games should finally be on piste tomorrow, Mikaela Shiffrin in the Slalom. No offence to Marcel Hirscher or Lindsey Vonn, but I reckon Mikaela is the business.

Things like this happen in sport and the best man/woman doesn't always win.

On Sunday I watched the highlights of the womens Moguls event and I was pleased for French girl Perrine Laffont, whose hard fought win against tough opposition was full of character and grit as well as skill. I felt sad for Canadian Andi Naude, who probably should have been the winner, but who made one single mistake in her final run and couldn't retrieve it, ending up off the track and out of the event. Not even a collision or an Act of God; her own blunder and her own fault. That would be something to make a reasonable athlete cry. But after a moment when she couldn't conceal her pain and mortification. Ms Naude recruited her mental strength and finished her run anyway, just for the record; and her first act afterwards was to congratulate Perrine Laffont, who managed to accept it gracefully and not express sympathy when Ms Naude probably couldn't have borne it. Andi Naude showed no self-pity and no invidia towards the winner; she lived up to the Kipling poem:

Quote:
If you can meet with triumph and disaster;
And treat those two imposters just the same...
Sport is as much about character as about skill and Andi Naude will go home beaten but unbowed and hopefully to the heroine's welcome she deserves.

Thanks scoundrel, exactly what meant. Enjoyed both the Moguls events and will be watching the Aerials as well.

I see there is a story brewing about the British Skeleton suits being suspect. But the head of the USA team thinks it's mind games.

Given Lizzy Yarnold's hubby works for Ben Ainslie Racing it seems pretty likely. There is no sporting event for bigger mind games than the America's cup.

I'll make a prediction. I think Elise Christie will bounce back and win at least one medal, whichever colour it is, because she can put yesterday behind her and do better- as long as that cheating Canadian or annoying Italisn don't louse things up for her again BUT it won't be easy because the Koreans and Chinese will be out to win too.
