It just goes to show the danger of knowing the person behind the persona, perhaps it is symptomatic of an industry that just seems to completely screw up the people who work in it, I've watched enough interviews and read enough about the industry to wonder if any male or female porn star is ever completely 'normal' after working in it.

While I don't personally know any of the parties involved, it isn't uncommon for spouses to consider their exes to be the devil in the early years after divorcing. I think that Danielle and Randy divorced around 1999 if my research is correct so I can see that by 2006 those wounds might have still been raw.

I hope that Randy's opinion about Danielle is far from the truth. I've been in enough bad relationships to know how those situations can bring out the worst side of us. Still, I'd be interested in knowing what other people who knew her and worked with her thought of her apart from that quote from Randy.

These days Danielle and Randy have each other as friends on Facebook and they have each re-married other people so maybe they have gotten over it.

All I can sort of tell is that Danielle works at a regular non-adult and non-entertainment business in a very red state where most of her viewable Facebook posts are about being super-christian and conservative. Sigh. At least she seems happy. That's all I can hope for any of my favorite stars.

I read somewhere years ago that the source of tension between them was her desire to leave the porn business and his desire to stay. In fact he worked the whole time she was pregnant and that really set her off. Apparently he would come home from work and she was physically abusive. Even before then she wanted them to work only as a couple and he refused - in fact toward the end of her first stint in the business (early 90s) she only worked with him but he continued to work with other women.

After her first pregnancy they did a reality film together called The Orgy where its was porn stars randomly hooking up with each other at a backyard pool party. He apparently hooked up with Debbie Diamond and the sex between them was so hot Danielle lost her cool and tried to beat the crap out of Debbie.

She was not the only abusive one in the relationship. I also read that the terrible breast augmentation she had during her second stint in the business was a partial burn reconstruction because he had thrown boiling water at her. She worked a lot after then with her chest covered.

He did leave the business briefly and together they managed a health club in Philadelphia but her drug problem nearly bankrupted them and they both returned to the business in the late 90s to pay off debts.

During this second stint they worked with each other but also with others. Toward the end of her second and final stint and after they divorced she had to do some very low end stuff just to maintain her drug habit. If you look at this later stuff she is heavier and looks completely strung out. I read that during this period he got remarried to another adult film star and she went crazy constantly harassing them, which resulted in a restraining order and child custody battles.
