John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, 2nd and 3rd president of the US, both died on July 4th 1826, exactly 50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Jefferson had died a few hours ago (of which Adams was of course unaware). So Adams was wrong for the moment, but right for the ages.

An interesting thing about Jefferson was that he claimed to be descended from Harold II, and that links TJ's own descendants, in a weirdly circuitous way, to the current Royal Family. The only proviso of this is that the royal lineage is as it is supposed to be, which of course it isn't.

Snatch is a sick and hilarious film. My favourite quote is from Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) in diologue with 'Cousin Avi', the American psycho-gangster played by Dennis Ferina after their various violent and farcical misadventures chasing the big diamond have led to it being swallowed by a really cute little dog, now in their possession. Prior to this scene, Bullet Tooth Tony has killed people, tried to kill people, tortured people, and generally been a thoroughly bad egg.

Cousin Avi: Open the dog.
