What a hoo ha created over a lack of chicken for KFC restaurants- you'd think no one had ever heard of fish and chip shops. Are we really at a stage in our evolution that we think the world has ended because you can't get hold of fried chicken in a bucket? Sad state of affairs.

Incidentally 2 years ago the BBC did a two part special on working for KFC and there was one girl featured Beth Sibey, who had struggled to find a job and eventually got this one. Fast forward two years later and she leaves KFC to become a topless model and even appears on one of those late night chat channels.

Feeling absolutely lousy again, managed to pick up a second cold but at least with this one I can sleep, but it's not been a great week.

The Hoo Haa is because a major fast food chain has been temporarily closed down because They foolishly outsourced Their deliveries..Mind You some people get annoyed when Their pizza delivery driver breaks His arm and They can't get a pizza delivered..

Just heard Donny Fartpants on TV explaining his great new idea to stop gun violence in schools....... wait for it .... bugger you guessed it, the answer is to have more guns in schools, albeit in the hands of concealed gun carrying teachers who "love their students"; because as he says if one of these cowardly shooters had taken a gun to school to shoot fellow students the teacher (if armed) could shoot the attacker first.

Only what if a potential attacker now shoots the teacher first to take out any potential threats? Well ferk me who'd have thunked about that.

The trouble is with Trumpeter is he talks a good game to his natural audience but fails to think things through, being Twitter obsessed the gormless oaf is obsessed with soundbites and news headlines.

There is no easy solution to the plague of school shootings in America but more guns is definitely not the answer to that issue.

I was pleased to hear him talk about wanting more background checks although I bet by the time his friends in the NRA have worked on him and his advisers that any plans for additional checks will be watered down to the point where it will make no difference to current procedures.

next we hear from "Gun Land" of a teacher, who's running amok and shoot just with that gun his- and several other students before he could be stopped.

There have been instances of teachers and staff rushing to their cars, arming themselves and stopping a shooter.

If you allowed a CCW holder to be armed at school, their .02% crime rate would mean that it is less likely that they would shoot up the school than a police officer.

We have more guns than people in the US. 74% of the population do not want to do anything about pistols in the US, which account for over 90% of murders. So we are not going to be disarmed anywhere in the near future.

So snide comments aside, do you have anything else to add?

I've been a teacher in my life. If all the teachers in the USA went to school carrying concealed firearms, the time will come, probably quite soon, when the first teacher goes postal and guns down his/her own classroom. The NRA lives in cloud cuckoo land.

We would not force people who don't want guns to be armed. People who cry at the sight of firearms. People who run away from a gun on a table. No one wants them armed.

CCW permit holders who wish to carry firearms on school property should be allowed to - they have shown they qualify to carry and their .02% crime rate is roughly 1/3rd the rate of police officers.

Dreaming that the US will disarm itself rather than allowing CCW holders to carry in gun free zones is rather silly.

An armed CCW permit holder in a classroom has the choice of defending themselves and the others in a classroom or being killed. They don't have the choice of escaping if the shooter is coming in. So your "rolleyes" to me is batshit crazy as well. If you agree that the US has no shortage of guns and that we will not disarm ourselves, not allowing a CCW holder to carry in a gun free zone is not logical.

If you think the US is going to disarm itself, you are dreaming.

As to the officer who refused to go to the aid of the children under his protection, he will have a hard time living with himself. He was rightly fired.
