There is a new book titled: The Complete Book of Classic Penthouse Love Pictorials from the 1970's and 1980's. It covers every pictorial from that era and has other information related to the pictorials including model identification. Was an interesting read. No pics though. Saw it on EBay and Amazon.

I guess that I have mixed feelings about this. I was always a P*nthouse man, and preferred it over the sometimes prudish Pl@yboy, and the outright raunch of H*stler. The Key Mag always had the right mix of class and sex.

As for the "love pictorials", what was always great was the "are they or aren't they doing it" mystery. Lots of shadows and peek-a-boo angles that left you guessing. THAT was what made it hot.

Not sure if I want to know all the scientific details behind the photo shoots, if it ruins the magic for me. I have lots of good memories from those classic P*nthouse days.

BTW, it does seem like a bit of a joke that the (e-)book in question contains not one single image. But maybe this publication is just one step on the road to the lavish coffee-table retrospective of PH couples pictorials we'd all like to see? I hope someone at Taschen is reading this!
