Interesting topic but I get the sense some of those being named or suspected of being Jewish is because their birthname ends in "man" or because they have a big nose (Sharon Mitchell). Being a Jew it always made me wonder what people were thinking when they would say "you don't look Jewish" or "you don't act Jewish".

That's a perfectly legitimate gripe, since Jews aren't a race or ethnicity, but a religion and a culture. Someone saying you don't "look Jewish" is like saying, "You don't look like a Christian."
