Smile What Have You Learned Today ?

How certain members are so misguided they still don't grasp one of the yawn inducing perks bloody Mods have is knowing who votes threads a single star.
If the thread is irredeemably dreadfully dire suppose an augment could be made for doing that. Maybe
Yet to do it on threads Fellow Forum Fellas have put effort into and that are getting regular decent contributions
I mean bless ya , only that is a pretty petty and feeble action
You know who you are
As (Like I've pointed out previously) do we

A terse note to English Heritage should sort out the oversight.....

I started season 3 of Power Rangers yesterday, and currently at episode 12. This is a short season at only 33 episodes, I think the 10 episode mini-series, Alien Rangers, doesn't count towards that episode count. It features the Rangers as kids, and aliens have to come and take care of business for them.

Anyways, I noticed an interesting name credited as the director of this episode, Bob Radler. Not really a well known director, but I know him most from Best of the Best, where he directed that. The movie's pretty cheesy, very 80s, very TV movie looking, but some nice martial arts and a surprisingly emotional ending. Just describing that really made me realize that he's just the right man to direct episodes of the show. Looking at IMDB, this wasn't a one-off, he directed other episodes in season 3, as well as the Zeo season.

This is from Thursday, I forgot to post about this. I celebrated my grandma's birthday by going with her and her cousin to Old Country Buffet. I have a history with that place. 5 years ago on her birthday, I puked. 10 years ago, I puked, and those two times had me eating a lot of food and then ending up drinking their chocolate milk. The combination of overeating and chocolate milk is just deadly. That being said, the night I watched Blade Runner last year, I puked, overeating there, but no chocolate milk.

So, third time's the charm over there. I learned my limitations. For one, I have to eat one plate at a time, fill up one plate, go to my table, eat, go to the food to fill up again. So I'm getting exercise, plus I can't hold a plate and cup well at the same time. So that's even more walking. I think that helped a lot. Overeating still happened, I knew when I finished the fourth plate, that if I ate any food item after, I'd keel over. It was so much that I ended up being full today. The spaghetti meal today was just a formality, I could've gone without eating it. I took some of their cookies for the road and I ate those extremely slowly, showing how full I was. I still feel full, I have no urge to eat anything.

Weird that your learning involved milk as mine today does. Because stupidly poured two pints of the icy cold stuff down me neck three hours ago. One hour after that started to feel queasy. Now feeling positively unwell. Was only after that hour remembered how people are supposed to drink a glass a milk before heading out for the night. To coat their stomachs. Uggggh I've certainly coated mine , and then some
Am trying to flush the (Evil) milk out by glugging lots of water now.
So far , no good.
Bah !

Default Fact is stranger than fiction

John Cale and Lou Reed (of Velvet Underground fame) earned a little extra money in the early sixties by hiring themselves out as Batman and Robin for children's parties.

In fact it was yesterday.
Reading the last chapter of "Sapiens", I didn't realise how near we are to create a new form of man or intelligence who could exploit even more who we are or even to exterminate the actual humanity.

If we don't disappear by our own fault, human will face biological and technological improvements that could change him almost in a god. Yep... a god.

I recently listened a surgeon telling that today, new born children would probably live... 150 to 200 years.

The next step of biotechnology could make man a-mortal (human only dying because of an accident) and then later immortal.

Isn't it weird?

As a still primitive monkey, I can realise this, but I don't know if I'd be able to become, as example, an immortal cyborg.

Not beeing paranoid, but don't you think that today, some governments are pushing biotechnologies to get the control on the rest of the world?

What do you think?
