I mentioned our new poodle Benny a while ago and how poodles are (supposedly) the second smartest dog breed. Well something happened recently that really impressed me with the dogs cleverness.

Benny likes to hide/bury his bones/chew sticks. Stuff them under pillows, cushions, blankets. Well recently I was lying in bed and Benny was looking to hide his bone. He was rooting around the pillows at the head of the bed and dropped the bone in behind. While he couldn't SEE where it went, the bone slipped between the headboard and mattress and dropped onto the floor. With nothing to go by excecpt the sound, Benny immediately jumped off the bed, crawled underneath and retrieved the bone. I was amazed that just on the basis of the sound, Benny was able to figure out what had happened and what to do!

At one unit I was at we had a Wing Comander posted in from an exchange tour in Alaska. He brought 2 Marmalutes(excuse the spelling!) back with him, there was a decline in the number of cats on married quarters after that!

Golden saved him from a kennel , Yogi choc strayed in neglected providing he a home no matter how long .

The boys are buddies .

Yogi has seizures , Im always with the boys , no phenabaritol (sp) .
