Well - that was Awkward!

I am fairly new on the forum but I haven't seen a thread for anything like this - apologies if it does exist elsewhere!

I can't be the only one here who has been in a really awkward situation involving sex or nudity. What do I mean? This for example

When I shared a 3 bed flat in Staines in my early 20's I got home from work early one day. To access my bedroom I had to walk past both other bedrooms. To my shock I get to my door to find my housemate Carl's door wide open with him giving his then girlfriend Hilary a seeing to. As I am fumbling for my key to get in to my room quick she hears me and our eyes met. It was so cringeworthy. I couldn't see much other then she was naked from the waist down and his scrawny ass was naked as well. The image has remained burned in the memory.

It makes me chuckle sometimes now but it was really awkward at the time and for the 6/7 weeks after whilst they were still a couple.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

For a while, I had to share a room in a flat with a male friend. He had a girlfriend, and at that time I didn't. He sometimes had his girlfriend join him for the night, so I told him that if they started having sex, then I would be joining in.

One night after a party, with much booze consumed, they started having sex, and as I always sleep naked, I was ready and erect to go and join in. They were in the right frame of mind and we had a lovely time.

Many years ago living in Yorkshire I was dating a rather nice young lady, both of us into motor biking and we had a good relationship going. My drinking buddy of many years just couldn't stand my girlfriend at all, it got to the point where he wouldn't join me for a beer if GF was there.

Eventually GF and I drifted apart, we remained friends as we rode out with a biking group, my drinking buddy was happy as we were back out cruising the pubs minus in his words 'the awful GF'.

It was therefore somewhat surprising when a few weeks later I walked into a pub with a new GF only to find my drinking buddy and my ex holding hands and looking all loved up at a table after having had a romantic meal.

A cheery hello interrupted their loving gaze and instead turned their expressions into a mix of shock and embarrassment, a few mutterings of something I didn't catch and they raced out the door.

My drinking buddy never apologised and our lads nights out abruptly stopped, my ex GF stopped riding out with the group as well. A marriage came and went but no invite, all very bizarre as I didn't have an issue with them being in a relationship.

In bed in staff accommodation in Brighton one night when I woke up needing a pee. realised my roommate was at it with a receptionist on the other side of the room, with her begging him to be quiet so as not to disturb me. Hated to embarrass any of us, so lay there for 30 minutes or so until she'd gone and he'd fallen asleep.

In the 80's i used to enjoy having a good drink on a weekend and i remember once waking up on a Saturday morning stark naked on the bed with a WPC in the doorway asking if i was ok. I looked around, saw that i was in my bedroom so answered yes why? She said a neighbour had called the police because my front door was open and my lights on when he had got up for work. I had to explain i had had a drink and must have fallen into the house and gone to bed pissed, she laughed, called down to a colleague that i was just pissed up, left and locked up for me and posted my keys through the letterbox. A very awkward and embarrasing event, which no doubt did the rounds in the police canteen!!

B says its cooler if he comes in and tells them to carry on.
C thinks it cooler if he can can carry on.
