I think Charlies Angels must have featured prominently in the fantasies of most kids from my era but with me it was Kate Jackson.
Oh and there was Jenny Hanley from Magpie.

Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who
I am of the generation who remember John Pertwee as the definitive Doctor Who, who seemed to devote his whole attention as a Timelord to saving the English Home Counties from successive waves of alien invasion. Later on, Tom Baker was excellent and brought a bit more time and space travel to the party. Sarah Jane Smith, ever so prim and proper but very very cute, served as the obligatory pretty female human assistant to both of them, and neither of them seemed to notice her much at all. However, scoundrel noticed her...
Disasterous 1970s Fashion Sense As an experienced time-traveller, it was the Doctor's plain duty to take her anytime or anyplace but England between 1972 and 1977, where the female fashions would have been more flattering than there. I have the fashion sense of a garden shed, and even I can tell those clothes are just wrong...Personally I would have escorted her straight to 1945-1953 and to the Christian Dior studio in Paris. She would have looked terrific in a little black dress, or in a flowing evening gown with long gloves... Poor Sarah Jane: she's finally realised about the clothes... Sarah Jane wants to discuss fashions with the Doctor Epilogue Having given the Doctor the rest of eternity off, Sarah Jane has piloted the Tardis straight to the nearest fashion show.

I have to admit when I was 10 I had an enormous 'crush' on the young child actress Kim Richards(Escape To & Return from Witch Mountain films fame) I then years later saw her as a teenage tennis player in an episode of MAGNUM and boy had she grown up. Years later she still looks good.

Raquel! The fur bikini! Way too much eye candy for my 10 year old brain to handle.
Jane Seymour had me drooling a little after that when I saw Frankenstein: a true story. The Onedin Line was pure porn to me. Then Diane Keen (The Cuckoo Waltz) and Paula Wilcox (Man About the House) were the first pics I clipped from the TV Times and added to my smut collection. I still detest Richard O'Sullivan to this day. It was fancying Paula rather than Sally Thomsett that was my first clue that I was different from other boys my age. No, wait: that was going for Penelope Keith (The Good Life) over the obvious Kendall woman and Frances de La Tour in Rising Damp. Caroline Munro's Lamb's Navy Rum advertisements were a major distraction and then, for a long time, it was Jane Fonda, especially after seeing Klute rather than Barbarella. Of course, this was a long time ago before I'd even heard of Ann Widdecombe, the minx. |

God! I'll never forget Honor Blackman - she'll be in my heart for ever. One of the first movies I saw back when I was a kid on a clear sky (we used to have open theaters down here where you could watch classics such as Kane for instance).
Goldfinger must have watched it many times back then. Just look at these breasts - they're about to go off lol. Totally cool Sean Connery as well. Also Jane Seymour (just look at these eyes) and currently I envy bastard Michael Douglas for banging mega babe Catherine Zeta-Jones. But it's a rather long list anyway...

I'm not one that would usualy make a very strong attachment to celebrities anymore than I would an unknown photo model, but I was certainly quite fascinated by Lynda Carter. All those incredible outfits as well as playing, or at least attempting, the office geek with glasses. Hiding those beautiful eyes was as futile as hiding her awesome figure.
She may have been the reason I've always had an attraction to sexy women in glasses. Lynda's "Mini-Me" Like you Anklebiter, I was also a much bigger fan of Jan Smithers over Loni Anderson. However, I dont think she was so small breasted. I think the show attempted to hide them so she wouldnt be a distracton from the one in the Dolly Parton hairdo and stuffed bra. In a bikini contest, I think Jan would have won by an overwhelming majority. I find that so common in Hollywood scenarios, the headliner being so much less attractive than the co-stars. Perfect example: Debora Winger vs Madolyn Smith in Urban Cowboy. |
