Default The VEF Non Alcoholic Drink Thread

I had to start this because we drink a lot of non alcoholic drinks. Over in Ireland we have ice cream soda. Kind of lemonade with a scoop of ice cream in it. So tell us your tales and love of drinks. Hot drinks count too. Nice cuppa tea etc.

Dr Pepper. I love this stuff. And homemade strawberry milk. Freezing cold of course.

I gave up drinking alcohol a few years back so have been on the soft drinks since then when I go out. If I am out depending on where I am I will usually have a Cranberry juice or a Kinnie which is a Maltese bitter orange and herb drink. If I am at home then it tends to be Elderflower cordial.

On the rare occasions I have a non-alcoholic drink, I like Mexican Coca-Cola (glass bottles, made with real sugar). My local pusher, er, retailer now also stocks Mexican Mountain Dew, which is tasty but the Coke is my weakness.

I also like San Pellegrino sparkiling mineral water.

Tonic water's not too bad, either, especially with a splash of.....oops, never mind.

I gave up alcohol over ten years ago, and I honestly dont miss it. For me my favourite drink is tea.

We have a local company, Maine Root, that makes a fine root beer. Sort of a microwbrew, if you will.

They also make a beverage called Mexicane Cola, a cola made with real sugar instead of high-fuctose corn syrup - but the Mexican Coke is better (at least to me).

Oh, man, how could I have forgotten to mention Maine Root's Ginger Brew - a ginger ale that has a great burn to it. The ginger comes through loud and clear - not suitable for children.

I like it with extra spicy Thai food - but hey, that's me, I like the punishment.
