Well both championships are over now. Ferrari are unable to develop their cars at the same speed as others during the course of a season. It's always the same thing except for the Schumacher era. I don't understand why a team which such a big budget always end up losing. Incapable of being the best, it's like Ferrari likes being stuck in drama and are always underperforming.

boring?

btw, it may be too many years of the same method of doing things at the red car shop that contribute to the slow answers to other teams new ideas. too much hard coded methods and thinking. I do hope they get it together as Mercedes winning every year is boring as all get out. bottas may bring excitement to Mercedes team for Hamilton in a way he does not enjoy. may it happen every race. he deserves it. darn I am long winded today. Afaik. There just isn't the insanity of a Hamilton BGP win as there was over a Mansell one.

Even if I'm a Ferrari fan am I the only one to think that the British GP was a turning point this season and that from now on the title is for Lewis to lose?

with that effect within the team, he does have a major advantage in the driver title. the answer to your is question is "yep" he has to lose it not win it. one more time the car he drives will carry him to a win. |

So biased is Toto Wolff towards Hamilton, that he attends his rival's birthday party?
So biased is Toto Wolff towards Hamilton, that he also gave Valtteri first option on tyre stragedy....? Yup; definitely bias being shown there.... I can see Hamilton leaving the sport at the end of the season anyhow, more likely if he wins the championship.... Despite all the snide comments he made about Nico Rosberg choosing to do the same thing.

hamilton
his ego takes all the oxygen out of the room. he would continue just to beat Schumacher and prove he is best ever. it is totos job to get 2 cars to 1 & 2 in a race. but he sure states as does lauda that they expect lewis to be that person in 1st place. they don't care about valtieri except he dutifully grabs 2nd each time. it would be nice if it were different but lewis grabs sponsers money like it was easy to get. valtieri wont ever be that kind of champion. it is all back to where the money comes from and who can get that done best. they are looking out for the check book first and always. I think pheg we are just going to be at cross thoughts on the subject. best of days to you and hoping hungary is as good as we all hope. usually boring though.

Bottas' best chance to win the championship is to dutifully grab 2nd anyway. I can't write an essay about it explaining why atm.
Edit. What I mean is. If he just keeps his nose clean and chips away at it. He'll keep himself in contention for the championship without threatening Hamilton. If Hamilton has some misfortune, he can cash in. If he lifts his pace to threaten Hamilton, it'll force Hamilton to lift his own performance. If that happens, he's no chance. Because for this year at least, Hamilton's best will be better than his. Last edited by Motorboater; July 22nd, 2017 at 12:13 PM.. |

Qualifying for Hungary showed Hamilton is not perfect. He has good periods and some poor ones too. Engine power is less important at this race, so the Q3 achievement of McLaren appears to be down to the chassis design. Good to see Ferrari on the front row.
Hamilton appears to alienate a lot of fans, due to his behaviour. Ricciardo is quite the opposite. |
