Stupid Google Problem

When I'm using Google advanced image search, and it doesn't matter what I'm searching for, the results I get are not even close to the amount I received in the past, that's been happening for about a week now. It also does the same if I'm signed in or not. Safe search is off also.

I just did a search for Ford Mustang, a month ago I would have got thousands of results, now it would barely be in the hundreds.

Also the Image search is a shadow of it's former self,You search an image of a model on Google and more often than not all it comes up with is"Woman" or "Lingerie"..

Alternatively you could try Bing Image search.

I often had better results with this engine in the past (don't forget to deactivate Safe Search).

Unfortunately there is still no search engine that is specialized in searching photos.

Sadly Google are one of those companies who cow down to the political correctness wave in life; meaning that anything slightly exciting is frowned upon; including naked females, fast cars, or anything else that gets the male blood pumping.

I seem to most often get images directed to censored newspaper images or the like; despite also checking that 'safe search' is off, setting all my personal levels as high as they will go, and using keywords that used to bypass their earlier 'nsfw' software.

In conclusion; you are by no means the only frustrated person, Big E; though the other search engines available are just not much better due to Google's search dominence...!

I did try Bing the other day, and yes it did return a lot more results than google, though it does seem a little less user friendly.

Most search engines have been hiding results for years

Past discussions had direct access links to the full results but we're talking years ago

Adding xxx to a search has some effect on safe search
Almost acts as an override

As for the numbers in a result - never took an interest in that because most returns are full of shite , like tube & tgp / blog redirect sites or drive by city as I call it.

You can start by opting for large images only to get the dross out of the results but imho your better off bookmarking known quality sites like forums , a to z directories or one off photographer sites and revisiting them as their where most of the original content comes from - alt.binary newsgroups aside - that many search results simply link to

I've been playing with this for days. Searches are limited on every search engine I try. No matter if safe search is on or off. Playing around with pref's and controls makes no difference.

I wonder if there's some back door deal with corporations (who are griping about copyright infringement) which is limiting search results?

They really need to drop the "World Wide Web" part of the internet when we're obviously getting 1% return on our searches!

1. the details that were entered with the content
2. what studio / paysite is advertising their wares

Let’s not forget, Google takes down links to content, not the content itself.

You have to try searching laterally to find the SITES that you know exist
that cant be found via search engine returns easily
