Zip File Cracker?

Hi Guys.
I've searched the usual 'Useful Programs' thread without success, in search of a reliable program to crack the password of a zipfile I downloaded from this very site. The OP left us a time ago, and the password he left doesn't work.

He suggested using 7zip to unpack the file, which I've tried countless times, as well as WinRAR, but am now at a total loss.

Have tried one open source tool called '7z.cracker' but that didn't work either.

Any help would as ever be gratefully received.

This might be a long shot... but you could ask users of jdownloader and related apps to zip & post their list of passwords (that these programs store) - and create a master list to apply to your dilemma. Hope this helps

Sadly none of the ideas there worked either. I downloaded it as a file I've always opened with trusty 7Zip, but all efforts have been pointless. Unless someone else can upload another copy of the file with a fresh password or none at all I'm giving up.

Reading about the other possibility is its been corrupted during the download

Probably worth reporting

If some Mod tests and it works you know the issue is at your end

Just for the hell of it I downloaded X2 and played around with it. definitely not working

I had a real pc tech pro check out the file. He says seems to be a full file, but again the faulty password is what's making the unpacking fail. You get the pix, and two video files, but the windows playable file, though showing and details correct, plays for only few seconds then fails. I had hoped that a password cracker would sort this, but sadly not. The weird thing is, back then the OP, Amantpoche, was here, this was his one and only password, so how it's failing now heaven knows? He used 'amantpoche' like Skynyrd uses 'sky'.
