Playboy to no longer publish nudes... the dream is over!

Honestly, it might be a good thing...the models in recent years have not, IMO, had good pictorals. One or 2 good shots, yes, but the rest have been uninspiring. The last model to really push my buttons (to the point where I remember her name), was Tiffany Toth, and she appeared in 2011. Before that, it was Ida Ljunqviust in 2008. It's not until you go back to 2006 that I started seeing more than 1 or 2 models a year who turned me on. Once you go back to the late 90s and earlier, I find the pictorals much better.

It's not that the girls aren't eye candy...they're still beautiful, but the way they're shot just doesn't thrill me the way it used to...and that's bad for a mag that made it's name in showing naked women.

I suspect the last nude shots have already been taken, or are close to being done.

I can't disagree more. Playboy without nude models isn't Playboy anymore.

If Playboy will do this option, I think they will lost most of their readers.

About recents models, I think they are as beautiful as the older ones. The women still remain beautiful.

They've been thinking about doing this for a while.

But Playboy without nudes isn't Playboy; it's Maxim. Magazine sales in general are dropping along with newspaper sales. Do they really think people are still buying Playboy for the articles?

I came to VEF this morning to start this very thread. Movieman88 was quicker.

My opinion is that the decision to go non-nude is shear madness. It is the result of the politically correct pressures in western society, "women rights groups" and the oh-please-save-our-children-from-seeing-a-nipple lobby. Men are no longer allowed to be men, looking at naked women.

In 1975, PB sold 5.6 million copies every month. Nowadays it's a mere 800K. Exactly 1/7 or 14% of what it used to be. I bet that the 800K figure is going to drop even lower once the nudity is gone. At that point I predict that fat cats in management will start scratching their heads and thinking about reverting the decision. I am definitely going to follow the developments and share them here on VEF.

I post several Playboy sets in the forum and in other places. If Playboy won't do nude sets anymore, I think I won't do this anymore.

Yes, Playboy is not Maxim. Without nude models, the magazine will lost its soul.

I can't imagine buying a mag like Playboy...or even hardcore stuff... anymore! The Internet with sites like this more than caters for my "needs"! Must be 20 years or more since I bought and used a wankmag!

One of my friends in high school showed me his father's den which had one side of the wall lined with binders with every PB in it from MM#1. He beamed with pride when he said he was going to inherit it.

Wonder what he thinks of this.

Its probably a good move if they get it right - Playboy (USA) is as dull as nude modelling can get really. The International editions nearly always feature better models and better
themes and photography but presumably they are going to end the nudes as well.

These days you can do quite a lot if you tap into the fashion market - some of the shoots and models are much better than you see in supposed soft porn mags.

The hottest thing I have downloaded recently is an Agent Provocature promo called Fleurs du Mal!
