I love collaborations. It was said here that some musicians assembled here would never have a chance due to their differences in style. Thats what makes it so damn fun ! I'm sure at least some here watched Robert Plant and Alison Krauss perform together with more than satisfactory results. They are from different universes. Its good to see unfamiliar names here too that we can look up and check out their talents.
Anyhow, my fantasy supergroup based on raw talent with not only musicianship but song writing skills as well. They'd be, of course, a Rock/Blues band......... Eric Clapton - As if anyone needs to know his role but, he'd gladly stand back on rhythm and watch this cast listed below tear it up.. with a big smile on his face. Derek Trucks - Lead, rhythm, slide guitar Doyle Bramhall II - Lead, rhythm, vocals Jack Daley - Bass (played for numerous ppl including Lenny Kravitz, Joss Stone, Alana Davis) Drums - Yonrico Scott Keyboard - Kofi Burbridge (Derek Trucks notes "one of the few musical geniuses I've worked with") Mike Mattison - Backup, lead vocals Joss Stone - Backup, lead vocals, miniskirt, legs, bare feet |

The original collaborative supergroup care of The Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band
Hi there, nice to be with you, glad you could stick around. Like to introduce `Legs' Larry Smith, drums And Sam Spoons, rhythm pole And Vernon Dudley Bohay-Nowell, bass guitar And Neil Innes, piano. Come in Rodney Slater on the saxophone With Roger Ruskin Spear on tenor sax. I, Vivian Stanshall, trumpet. Big hello to Big John Wayne, xylophone And Robert Morley, guitar. Billy Butlin, spoons. And looking very relaxed, Adolf Hitler on vibes. Nice! Princess Anne on sousaphone. Mmm. Introducing Liberace, clarinet With Garner "Ted" Armstrong on vocals. Lord Snooty and his pals, tap dancing. In the groove with Harold Wilson, violin And Franklin McCormack on harmonica. Over there, Eric Clapton, ukulele. Hi Eric! On my left Sir Kenneth Clark, bass sax. A great honour, sir. And specially flown in for us, a session's gorilla on vox humana. Nice to see Incredible Shrinking Man on euphonium. Drop out with Peter Scott on duck call. Hearing from you later, Casanova on horn. Yeah! Digging General de Gaulle on accordion. Rather wild, General! Thank you, sir. Roy Rogers on Trigger. Tune in Wild Man of Borneo on bongos. Count Basie Orchestra on triangle. Thank you. Great to hear the Rawlinsons on trombone. Back from his recent operation, Dan Druff, harp. And representing the flower people, Quasimodo on bells. Wonderful to hear Brainiac on banjo. We welcome Val Doonican as himself. Very appealing, Max Jaffa. Mmm, that's nice, Max! What a team, Zebra Kid and Horace Batchelor on percussion. A great favourite and a wonderful performer of all of us here, J. Arthur Rank, on gong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DUEAG5eO6c |

One thing a supergroup needs is a sure-fire number one tune.
Also a very strong, well-edited video. An appearance on the old Top of the Pops was also a pre-requisite to achieve iconic supergroup status. Hence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsXJcIODLtQ

Suppose it better be both , that way Jnr can keep watching Snr to see how it`s done.
Also would hope they`d use both hands. Sure as hell will do when the bullets start flying Rubber bullets of course , because as like them i to am deeply concerned about possible fatalities
