You object to Peter Garret (Labor Member for Kingsford Smith and former singer for Midnight Oil?
Well, you're probably not alone.

My take on 'rednecks' is generally men with rifles who go out shooting wildlife and/or road signs. As a landowner I've known quite a few 'hunters' but only one detestable one whom i'd consider a real redneck.
The kind that would take anything not nailed down (among other things) He died.

I have no doubt that we are all heading for difficult times worldwide, but not for the reasons you cite, but because of the fiscal cliff. http://www.news.com.au/national/can-...-1226532514354

Australia would not be hit by directly with job losses and tax hikes, but there would be pain if Washington failed to do a deal.
The US is Australia’s greatest source of inward investment, so a US downturn caused by the fiscal cliff would reduce foreign capital flows into Australia.

A U.S. downturn could also have a negative impact on global share markets and confidence around the world, including Australia, where domestic consumption and growth would be suppressed.

Personally i'd like to hack all their software, not for money which probably won't be worth the paper it's (not) printed on, but just for the heck of it, so that all media, phones, online transactions, etc. lead to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxaY_mxYflg

Where is Jesse James when you need him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CzeAwLygac
Consider it my Christmas present to these worse than useless glorified gamblers.

The 'White Australia' immigration policy was abandoned in 1966.

There's no question they will. But it's getting a little harder to scam shareholders for 50% of the (paper) profits

Default Apple’s new map system sends travelers to Australian National Park instead of city

This could be more dangerous than it sounds

"Police are extremely concerned as there is no water supply within the Park and temperatures can reach as high as 46 degrees, making this a potentially life threatening issue"

Well, it probably would be for you. But you know a lot about the place, and clueless tourists etc most likely don't. Maybe that's who the police are worried about

Whats left to say

People who rely on electronics with no back-up are asking for it

Even big business with all its electronic front has everything printed out on paper
JUST INCASE

What a great advertisement for replacing analogue reception system with digital even though this reduces coverage

Reminds me of the upgraded radio communications system introduced in my home state after a some disastrous bush fires which didnt work when thick clouds of smoke were present.

Bean counters sadly control the world
