My advice to other VEF members: don't bother buying premium membership at filefactory, and if you've already uploaded any content that violates their TOS, you should consider deleting the files and hosting them elsewhere.

I think the deletion for violating ToS was just to avoid paying anything owed to you.

I've had a 'Pending' payment for $100 since January 15th 2017, my first and only such payment I might add.

Sent 3 support requests, got 2 will pay soon, will process tomorrow replies and nothing happens.

Do you need a Payza e-mail to get paid or is an Amazon gift card e-mail enough?

You'll find those posting to earn rewards on all cash hosts there

They appear to be clearing some of the backlog out
- though none have posted a copy of their paid statement

Call me a sceptic but statements like this below hardly equate to paid in full
that you'd stake your life on but it does give you an idea that there are massive delays in payments

In Classic Movies section, we've been discussing removing FF from the preferred hosts list, mainly because there have been so many complaints about slow download speeds and too many dead links. If more VEFers get the same treatment I have and their FF accounts are deleted, that is likely to get the host removed from the preferred list pronto.

Let's broaden it out to the 'community'

Bear in mind that download speed is not the only criterion here and that this should be considered from the point of view of uploaders as well as downloaders, if the 'preferred' hosts don't work for uploaders there will be nothing for downloaders to download!

Points in favour of FileFactory (Uploader standpoint)

1) Stable: Has been around for years, servers are normally online and uploads work first time most (95% in my estimation) of the time. This shortens the time spent re-uploading failed uploads.

2) Unlimited (FREE) file storage. This is crucial for any serious uploader. I have 452GB currently stored on FileFactory. Many of the alternative file hosts suggested by downloaders limit how much can be stored to 50GB or charge for anything over that. Uploaders already donate their time for free, they aren't, IMHO, going to start paying as well.

3) FileFactory allows individual files of up to 5GB in size and allows those files to be downloaded by free users. Because I mirror to Uploaded, I'm limited to using 0.99GB file chunks, but if you were solely using FileFactory, this is definitely an argument for FileFactory for both downloaders and uploaders.

4) FileFactory has been widely used (and encouraged by the VEF authorities) on VEF for years, and in some of the most popular threads like bigbobnobody's Playmates In The Movies thread, so it has achieved a critical mass on here. This is why there seem to be a lot of dead FileFactory LINKs. FileFactory allows 90 days since the last download, again better than others (1fichier I'm looking at you) it's just that there are so many more FileFactory LINKs on VEF in the first place, if you see a dead link, it's likely to be a FileFactory link, but that's simply because most links are FileFactory links.

We require a minimum download speed and ease of use when it comes to preferred hosts.

Filefactory has met neither criteria for quite some time now. Removals and additions to the preferred list are discussed among the section mods and we alone make the decision to add or remove from the list.

Filefactory would still be allowed in Classic Movies. Removal from the preferred list would only mean that other members can post mirrors to Filefactory links on preferred hosts.

I've just downloaded nearly 600mb from file factory in roughly 40 minutes as a completely free anonymous user. that's not slow compared to the likes of rapidgator etc

Maybe it depends on your location, I'd be lucky to get 1 in 10 to finish, gave up on them months ago. same with filejoker and share-online

I consider myself an uploader too sometimes.
I'm a premium member @ "another host" since mid 2014.

my experience with them:
- complains about using that "other host" none
- files lost none
- failed uploads thanks to ftp upload and resume feature none
- lost or deleted files (due to retention) none, except a few uploaded before being premium
- max. filesize 100GB (send)
- max. filesize (receive) 5 GB, 50 GB, 100 GB (free, registered, premium)
- max. storage 1 TB, Unlimited (registered, premium)
- in the meantime there is also an affiliate program
- paid euros for 6 years premium 52,99 € in total + being able to download my own files at full speed and not throttled in case of
- value gotten in return from this community invaluable
- and best; no name, address, bank nor credit card was needed

Uploading couldn't be easier.

Just my 2 cents.
