By 1863 the French had their own superb version of the Gatling gun (Reffye Mitrailleuse). Only despite modernising the army to such a high degree. They proved incapable of using both the Mitrailleuse and excellent Minié rifle remotely competently. So that combined with bewildering poor leadership , allowed the Prussians to crush Napoleon Thirds fledgling wannabe reborn empire in 1870 .

There's an article I lerned about today that listed predictions HG Welles apparently got right.

The one that got me the most was this.

Older British members may recall the singer Eden Kane who had a few hits in the 60s - including the number one single "Well I Ask You".

His real name is Richard Sarstedt and his brothers, Peter and (Clive) Robin also had music careers - Peter scoring a chart topper with "Where Do You Go to My Lovely".

But, under his real name, he also appeared in several uncredited and background roles in Star Trek TNG, Voyager, DSN and Enterprise as he was a contract actor on the series.

Interesting lives some people have.

If it's anything like the stuff I tasted in Kazakhstan it's a very acquired taste. Point of order though, has Budweiser a taste? I always thought it gnats watter.
