Donald Trump is regarded as a complete joke over here. I cannot think of any other US President who has been so derided, or described as so utterly incompetent. But then, we in the UK are generally softish critics, so the criticism in the UK in no way matches how appalling President Trump actually is; we are bit too nice in that respect.

In my opinion US voters were utterly stupid to choose Trump over Hillary Clinton, though I agree Mrs Clinton does have some downsides.

I wouldn't vote for Trump if his opponent was a brick wall, a a brick wall would do less damage - as you are now seeing.

It is true that the American constitution does limit the damage that Trump can do, and very good for it. America has an excellent constitution. But that doesn't mean that Trump is not a Fascist: he's just a Fascist who hasn't worked out how to take overall control yet. Hopefully the constitution will prevent that. Remember that other Fascists took control, despite constitutions.
I too, can make a blanket statement speaking for everyone here by saying Americans consider British leaders are all jokes. Your opinion is, well, just one 16 year old bloke's thought.

Well, if you think Trump measures up to Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair, then you live in a fantasy world that not even Disney would conceive.

We have had dreadful politicians in the UK, I could give you a large list . We have had some dreadful party leaders too. We have had some dreadful Prime Ministers, but mostly in the 18th & 19th Century.

Most Prime Ministers since 1945 have been reasonably competent - clearly some better than others, depending on your point of view. But we haven't had anyone utterly useless, as Donald Trump clearly is.

Except possibly one.
You can validate your post by telling me which Prime Ministers after the second world war you consider jokes, and see if you can manage to include who I think is the worst of them. Because I do not think you have a clue what you are talking about.

In return, I'd be very happy to give you my views on US Presidents since 1945.

You're operating under the impression that I care what your views are.

You seem to - you keep replying when we don't sing the praises of the Orange One.

You do not speak for everyone here and this is an international forum if you haven't noticed that yet. The fish in the barrel are getting scarce so I'll leave it at that.

Hmmm. I thought this was about worst U.S. presidents and suddenly we have entered the land of comparing prime ministers with U.S. presidents. Here is an important point: One really can't judge a leader of any sort until they have been out of office for at least 10 years. Now I am no Trump fan and have always considered him unqualified for his current job. However when one compares him to past U.S. presidents, well he doesn't come close to James Buchanan. How much damage has Trump done in foreign relations can only be judged in what will happen in the future and what the next U.S. presidents do.

As an interested American, I wouldn't mind your views. I'm interested in what our brethren across the pond have to say--sometimes. This is one of those sometimes. Well, that and Formula 1.

It wouldn't have taken two years to bring indictments against her. Two year investigations that drag out like Mueller's did do so because there is no substance. Win or lose in 2016 I am truly shocked that she was not investigated but then considering the way she was "investigated" over Benghazi I guess it would also have been a waste of time. Trump is a buffoon but I doubt America will ever truly realize what a bullet they dodged in November 2016.

A simple question, Clown Prince Donald is only having a laugh isnt he?? No-one can be that much of a twat in reality. He insults Kim Jong Un and then expects a deal on Nuclear disarmament out of him? He slates Sir Kim Darrough for telling our government hi impressions of him in a supposedly private email and them proves him right by behaving like a spoilt child and saying that He'll have nothing more to do with him. He also conducts his diplomacy on Twitter, is this because the responsible people in the American government wont let him near official channels
