disagree - he is not perfect , but like Churchill in the 1930's

The problem is most of his goons want him to be Oswald Mosley rather than Winston Churchill.

This is who the EDL/Britain First etc idolise not Churchill.

34.20 into the Oxford debate Robinson tells how he fought off right wing extremists who wanted to take over the EDL. It includes an EDL video of their members burning a swastika. Once again, the video for those who want to give it some consideration.

Yeah right, like he could control it even if he really wanted to.
The EDL is not a Political Party or membership club you can be expelled or excluded from it's just a bunch of right-wing thugs who turn up for a march or rally looking for scrap instead of an afternoon being soccer hooligans in provincial towns which is where they mostly recruit from.

What's the new reincarnation FLA? - Football Lads (Thugs) Alliance isn't it?

How similar/dissimilar is Corbyn to Tony Benn?

Hugely. Benn may have been a bit of a left wing fruitcake, but he was highly intelligent and a committed believer in our parliamentary democracy. Corbyn is not very bright and not really very competent. He has got where he is because he is the nice grandfatherly chap that hides the true nastiness of his organisers. He would destroy our democracy.

I share your reservations about Mr Corbyn, but I doubt if he could do that.

Our core values are too resilient for that to happen. We don't suffer dictators or "people who get above themselves" here - unlike some other places we could mention. I think that is one thing about the British character that outsiders don't get.
