My therapist was in a car accident last month. It's strange he didn't tell me that before today. The crazy thing was that it was at an intersection that had some kind of police intervention, which I don't know the details, I just saw cop cars. But a few days later, just up the street by let's say 25 steps, there was a car crash, and I witnessed it. Not the cars coming towards each other, as I was looking down at my dog at the time, but when the crash sound hit my ears, I shot my head up, and there was the collision. Chilling stuff.

Unlike that one where people got hurt (no deaths as far as I saw), the one my therapist had saw no injuries, but his car was wrecked beyond affordable repair. It was a Jaguar, and he was telling me how they are so expensive to repair, he went and got an SUV. It's also concerning for me because that intersection is up the street from where I live. Hell, we pass through there all the time when we're coming from the highway, seeing my mom, or just going up the road further to stop at WalMart, the mall, wherever, it's a very busy road, exits to the highway, lots of action. So, it's another example of that specific area being prone to danger.

Big Grin What Have You Learned Today ?

That these kidneys and liver of mine (Hey I've got them on hire purchase ok !) can't be as addled as I`d believed. Although granted haven't eaten anything (Sorry for swearing ) yet today. But even so the Stella Artois I bought on my grumpy stomp from the train station a couple hours ago are already affecting (Or is is effecting ) me greatly.
Mind you am on my sixth full pint can

Stella Artois recall

A brewery had to recall hundreds of bottles of beer yesterday after shards of glass were found inside. InBev said the problem, which affects 250ml bottles of Stella Artois, was caused by faulty bottles.
Makes me happy that I drink a different brand that I won't name until they start sponsoring The Sandhunter

Speaking of Stella Artois, there was a running ad on Snapchat featuring Matt Damon shilling their limited edition cups, and proceeds would go to Damon's Water.org foundation. That ad had not been running for a while now, I'm guessing because of the recall bringing bad press? Ads also appeared on Instagram featuring Damon.

I learned today that this guy was played by Koichi Sakamoto.

He appeared in an episode of Power Rangers Zeo. 2-part episode, nice role where he was an imprisoned warrior and thought the bumbling Bulk and Skull were also warriors, and enlisted them to break out of their holding cell. Sakamoto's the head of Alpha Stunts Production, the stunt team for Power Rangers since season 3, I think they are still working for Power Rangers, talking 20+ years now. He also rose through the ranks over the years, going from stunt coordinator and second unit director to eventually a producer, executive producer, even directed episodes, which I've started to pick up on my binge watching. Only 2 so far, but he directed a lot more. The first being that 2-parter where he appears as Tritor. He didn't do the voice, a "Peter St. Peter" did that. Funny name.

My second sister's father apparently wants to establish contact with her, and has been wanting that for years. Something I caught during a little family gathering, the pastor I talked about a few posts above said he could find where the father is. I don't remember what he looks like, it's been almost 20 years since I saw him. Apparently he left a phone number 17 years ago, but it's been changed, with no update from either side, because we changed our various numbers too over the years.

Also my uncle, confirming a thought of mine today, was in a family of women. Me being the next generation, that's been carried over, no brothers, no father figures really.

I was watching the roll calls and morphs in Power Rangers throughout the seasons, as well as their Japanese Super Sentai counterparts. I noticed an interesting omission. In the 2000 season Lightspeed Rescue, there was a Titanium Ranger.

When the video showed the roll call and "henshin" of the Japanese counterpart, Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive, there was no Titanium Ranger. Looking that up now, I learned that the Titanium Ranger was a Saban creation, making him the first original Ranger in the series, not adapted directly from Sentai.

Today, I learned

It's OK to be a complete bum once in a while and feel zero guilt

Hey! Enough with the "once in a while" bit.

How dare you claim the moral high ground over the rest of us perpetual bums?

Today I learned that Imagebam's fortunes are completely tied to storing porn. You know that little box they make you check as to whether your content is "adult" or family friendly? I always assumed it was so they would know what kind of ads to run. This is true, but only sort of. I posted in a GD&N thread with some non-porn material, and what did I see after checking the "family" box? There were no ads of any type placed against the images. So these images generate no income for Imagbam. Only the porn images seem to have advertising. So if Imagebam starts to get tagged by one of the porn companies in any serious manner, they're gone.
