In other news, you'd be listening to horror stories coming out of the Royal Commission into the malfeasance in the Banking and Financial Services sector. Also the current government who stridently opposed the setting up of said Royal Commission now trying to desperately pretend it was their idea all along.
Is there anything they don't claim? The internal combustion engine?

No, that was us.

Calculus?

Us too.

I always thought Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in Mainz in 1436, but it turns out it was Malcolm Turnbull.

I beg to differ. The French scientist Jean Joseph Etienne Lenoir is credited with the invention of the first internal combustion engine to be produced commercially, and Calculus was invented by both Isaac Newton(English), and the German mathematician Gottfried Leibniz independently of each other during the 17th century. The exact date is not known.

That could well be right.

I don't remember, but if John did do it I've probably seen it.

Reminds me of another great Aussie invention which reminds me of an old riddle.

Q. What is the similarity between a 747 and a peroxide blonde?

A. They both have a black box.

Default Squiddly Diddly ? Large squid 'set free'. It ain't always about capital, Turnbull!

Quote:
The South East Trawl Fishing Association reported the squid was estimated to be close to three metres long and weighed up to 100 kilograms.
According to the association, not only was the squid enormous, it was also potentially worth a lot of money.
In 2005, the Melbourne Aquarium paid $100,000 to buy, transport and display a 250-kilogram giant squid caught by fishermen off New Zealand's South Island.
