It would be useful to periodically check for duplicate images in large thread for example "Bettie Page" (852 post...).

To eliminate some of the duplicate images we could use free software like VisiPics

Maybe some user can 'adopt' a specific thread, report duplicate pictures and administrators can leave only the best one.

The program you linked to is great. I used it to remove about 7500 pics from a folder on my desk top. Can it be used to scan a web page? I only spent 15 min or so playing with it and was unable to figure out how to use it for more than just removing dupes from a folder though I am sure it has more functionality. It would be great if it could be used to clean up dupes out of some of the larger picture post threads

Unfortunately no, Visipics can find similar and duplicate images only on local drives.

The problem is, it's hard enough to wade through dozens or hundreds of pages of pics looking for something, or making sure you aren't going to double post pictures that are already there without having to scroll past a ton of discussion/comments besides.

And the mods would nix it, because THEY have to monitor those threads looking for banned content and dead links. It would double or triple their workload.

Maybe we could set up a thread in which a poster could link from the pictures to a separate discussion - I think we already have that, but it still requires the pictures to be thumbnailed separately there, which is a problem.

A forum-specific image search tool would be nice, I don't know how we could keep outsiders from using it to find images and issue DMCA complaints against the content, which would defeat the purpose. I suppose you could only allow access, or even knowledge of it, to those who are registered and have posted a minimum requirement of picture sets, but that would be unfair to our casual members who don't post content.

Well, this is pornographic forum, but vintage. Here we can find an adult men who have registered here because they can find images of stars from their youth..
You can expect the registration of members who are older or some young ''fools'' like me which aren`t for the nowadays porn. For me, at first this was a place of pornography, but I quickly found other value: chat and good friends (virtual friends) but real friends can kill you, virtual can`t.

actually my answer would be:
This place doesn`t offer tons and tons of content for free downloading (videos, zips, rars etc.) and that people are looking for on the net.

Seriously, I think that our current magnet/greatest asset is ''Model ID request''.
