Mult angle playbayback
What is the best program to view multi angle .vobs? I downloaded a dvd rip here and some files flicker, and I am guessing that has something to do with it being a multi angle movie

Not sure what you mean here. Are you viewing the original dvd (vob) file, or a rip? (mp4, mkv, avi, etc.) I like Cyberlink's PowerDVD since the access to the multi-angle menu is intuitive and easy, but it's not a freeware.
If you are experiencing flickering in a rip (mp4, mkv, avi) something might be wrong with the rip itself. Issues can be anything from a corrupted file to being encoded in the wrong way (i.e. multi angles not stripped). Last edited by kogi; February 9th, 2018 at 02:43 PM.. |

Can you point me to the file/thread in question and I'll have a look?

Yes, that is my default video player. Maybe it is a bad rip/encode?

Still downloading the DVD... Filejoker is well.. just a joke.
It seems no decent rip of this one has been posted yet so if the vobs are intact I'll rip a proper version and post it. |

Unless you're preserving the original DVD as is, you generally only want one angle and it can be difficult to rip a multi-angle DVD and only capture one angle. If you don't know what you're doing, you end up with a flickering file. I don't care about losing the alternate angles because IMO multi-angle was a gimmick that is not very useful anyhow.
