Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc

In my experience imagebam is either take banning very seriously or they have a glitch in their systems - I say that because theirs no logic when only some pics get banned but not others from the same set

So i up those banned pics to imagevenue which never seems to reject them
- probably why they got attacked going back awhile

No workarounds if a site/studio is serious about having material removed enmass
as we see everytime sc#re go on the warpath

Using 2 imagehosts does have a benefit when a host goes offline for a period
at least something is still up as opposed to a blank post


The list of reasons why some image hosts cant be accessed is a long one

anti-virus
firewalls
add-ons like no script or scrip safe
ad block plus occasionally
your connection / modem / router
windows updates according to askwoody.com are great for causing issues of all sorts

Looking at imagebam i think dead pics are simply showing up as a blank screen
depending on what browser your using

Thanks buttsie, I've had another go, this time first using the windows explorer option to "Remove Properties and Personal Information". Although I had a look with a text editor the images didn't seem to have any obvious references to DDF.
...and what do you know, it worked this time!? Let's see how long they stay up.

Seeing the same thing on Imgbox lately. Mostly with 'dmca'land.com. If it's not a glitch they are reading image metadata as I tried the renaming trick too.

It says for Windows 7, and earlier, but methinks it will work with 8 as well. I use this one myself. click me.

Thanks Boatguy. I'm on Linux so I'll look at my native options later. If I don't find anything penguiny I'll see if that runs under Wine.

IMHO the problem comes from times ago, when most images came fron Usenet. At that time each image was classified with a "C(omma)S(eparated)V(alue)" code.
At thate time were was not the DMCA. So the models sent a list of images they do not like to the imagehosts, using the CSV code.

Thanks Fabrizio. That looks to be the problem. Renaming and deleting the metadata(via exiv2) didn't work. Rescaling the image to 99% of the original worked.
