So another question,will they try to rebuild the uploads,or are they just gone forever?
If so,time to change to a new imagehost then,again.

It sounds like it could be that damn Score Group DCMA take down thing. I primarily use imgbox, and over the past couple of months I have also lost a number of pics and entire posts, which were also gone from my imgbox gallery as well.

One or the other. I also have a recent gallery where some of the thumbnails went AWOL, although the links to the full-sized pictures still work.

So another question,will they try to rebuild the uploads,or are they just gone forever?

I don't know. You could ask them, but there's the little problem that you probably were not really authorized to upload the pictures in the first place.

If so,time to change to a new imagehost then,again.

Is there any image host which does not randomly lose files? In my experience, they are all garbage.

Not in this case, the galleries in question do not contain any material copyrighted by Score, and I would expect that DMCA removals typically result in the deletion of the whole gallery.

Yes the whole gallery was gone ... and I have had instances when posting some Metart sets where the title page was banned but not any of the other pics in the set.

Looks like somewhere around Dec 3 there was purge of Score Group material at Pimp and Host. I lost 14 archives, with over 600 images.

This follows hot on the heels of the purge conducted on October 10, so maybe Score is stepping up the frequency of their "blanket" DCMA notices.

The good news is that Pimp and Host appears to establish a "cut-off" based on the date of the last DCMA notice. So if they missed something in the October 10 purge, those older archives remain intact for now. P&H appears to have focused on archives posted after Oct 10; hence the 14 I lost were mostly images I had re-upped in November.

Question about thumbnail galleries (movies):

I usually try to post huge thumbnail galleries. I use thumbnail maker with the settings: Keep original size, rows 3, lines 50 (max). The pic will be big (around 7-8MB).

I've seen that other members just use really tiny thumbnail galleries with 16 pics.
Which is preferred? Are those huge pics annoying? Is it better to just post a teaser?

I use those settings because the gallery will fit in most cases for 1080p and it seems to be better for IDing. More than 3 rows won't fit for 1920x resolutions.

Is there a guideline how to do it?

Disclaimer: Not talking about the size on vef (180x180). I got that.

I only had some images removed, not entire galleries. I was kind of panicking because I don't keep a lot of images on the computer, and sometimes only upload to one site, Imagebam. Thankfully the recent ones I uploaded were either in the recycling bin, still in the computer, or on Imgur. Now there's a message on the bad images saying "This image is temporarily not available."I did send an e-mail to ImabeBam's support group just now.

ImageBam have had a problem where, if you followed certain image links, the image didn't appear but you saw this message: 'This image is temporarily not available'. If you were using a tool like Imagehost Grabber, you wouldn't see it, of course. That problem now seems to be fixed, at least in the examples I've seen.

There's still another problem with some thumbnails, which are only showing in the post or the gallery as placeholders , if your browser even shows them. If you follow the link to the image - which is there - there's a message underneath, saying 'Is the thumbnail for this image missing? More info' and clicking 'More info' shows, very briefly, this:

We are going to regenerating the missing thumbnails. Before doing so we're creating an additional backup. That process will take until the 13th of December. Thank you for your patience.

So don't do anything rash.

why then the Score Group only have had certain file host's ban certain model's on forum some Score images have been up on threads for a year or more ... i noticed basically image box and image bam have banned score material instantly and image venue will post most score images and maybe ban a few at most . My money's on image venue for now. Perhaps management will offer other choices for better file hosts.
