Dark Star.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbbYn7d_W8s Brilliant film and great theme track. The film was apparently dirt cheap to make but has the best bomb explosion I've ever seen and the hyperdrive sequence gives a real impression of speed (as well as being very trippy) |

Pretty much anything by Ennio Morricone has to be up there. If there's any list of great movie themes that doesn't have him on it (probably more than once), the list is wrong .
Once Upon A Time In The West is still my favourite of all time. My Name Is Nobody, The Good The Bad And The Ugly, Once Upon A Time In America and The Mission would all be up there too. Also Sprach Zarathustra and The Blue Danube from 2001 I wouldn't quite count since they weren't written for the film, no matter how great they (and it) are. Vangelis - Bladerunner. Very different from his more well-known Chariots Of Fire. |

Ennio Morricone is so huge for me, like the theme from 'The Thing' is absolutely amazing! Considering that it was a different genre of movie that he used to write!

The Inception soundtrack, particularly:
Dream is Collapsing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkvNmb9tMII I quite like tomandandy's stuff. They've done soundtracks for Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies and Resident Evil: Afterlife. This is from The Mothman Prophecies: The Bridge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSMmS...eature=related
