Singapore's Miss World contestant was reportedly forced to resign after being convicted of credit card fraud. Ris Low (19) was given two years' probation for stealing credit cards and spending £3,000 Pounds on lingerie, mobile phones and restaurants.

She joins a long list of local beauties who have gone wrong

Former Miss Singapore World Ris Low regrets her past follies and admits to being foolish after she is unable to find a job for the past three years due to a credit card fraud. The 22-year-old was crowned in 2009, but lost her title after she was convicted in May that year for credit card fraud that she committed in 2008.

She said that for the past three years, she has been doing some soul-searching and understands that she was foolish to commit those crimes.

She has been helping out with administrative work at her parents’ renovation company, and learning new skills by taking private courses in accounting, business management and hotel management. She would not mind venturing into the entertainment business, but would still treasure the opportunity of a job outside of showbiz

She was charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Yes, I'm going to finish with a tale of salvation and hope for us all ....... Julia Anderson was so desperate to appear on the US TV show "True Beauty" that she told them that she had been Miss Teen Texas 2002.

However when the shows judges asked her if she had any regrets in her life, she revealed that she wasn’t exactly a perfect pageant winner. After winning the title, she was arrested for public intoxication at the age of 17, and relinquished her crown.....

But, all ended well, when she won the $100,000 grand prize..... All three of the final contestants got to have their photo in People Magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful People” issue.

A bit optimistic if you ask me ...... but each to their own.

This is the queen of the thread ..... up to now the girls have been largely local celebrities, but LisaRaye McCoy took matters to an international stage.

She is a minor American actress and fashion designer. She is best known for portraying Neesee James on the CW sitcom All of us from 2003 until 2007 ... a show that didn't go international, not even on the free to air channels. She also played a stripper with a conscience in 'The Players Club'.

He is Michael Misick, and was the premier of a corrupt British overseas territory Turks and Caicos islands. An island where a lot of government 'advisors' have the surname Misick.

They got married, he was accused of raping an American woman after a party on the island of Providenciales. This was/is currently being investigated by the FBI, he got requested to quit office after allegations of massive corruption, he was also alleged to have had an affair ....they started fighting, biting and bruising .... they started divorce proceedings and mud was flung.

Thats the brief version ..... but there is a lot of web coverage of this couple, and the costs of their lifestyle on a poor territory.

Former track queen Marion Jones, who spent six months in prison for lying about her doping use during a US federal investigation, is going to try and make a comeback as a pro athelete in basketball.

Ms Jones won lots of medal, but apparently they were achieved by pure drugs rather than just pure talent ..... she was only forced to hand back the five olympic medals she 'won' at the Sydney games, ignoring the all those other medals she 'won' before then ..... hmmmm!
