Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

UriF Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 178 Thanks: 231 Thanked 1,161 Times in 149 Posts	Video Thumbnails Maker Unfortunately I do not have permissions to add a comment to the thread "Creating Movie Preview images" I tried to use recommended by VEF Image grabber II (my computer Win 8.1 x64). Unfortunately, it did not support my mp4 file. It is possible that I had to install additional codec. I never install any codec to my computer because of potential conflict with each other. Moreover I heard a lot of times that they do not have correctly designed uninstaller. Therefore I tried to search google and found out another freeware alternative - Video Thumbnails Maker http://www.suu-design.com/projects.html It works approx. the same as Image grabber II but do not req'd additional codecs.
