I haven't had any alcohol since Saturday night and there are quite a few bottles of spirits and maybe half a D of stubbies in the fridge not more than 30 feet from me

Please have Mrs. E take you to the emergency room immediately. You are obviously quite ill.

All the best flavours.

Have you ever tried plink?

No, none of those.

I once saw a (surprisingly fascinating) telly doco. about a (once) "famous" Sydney gentleman who wrote "copperplate" graffiti (usually a v. specific phrase, though now can't recall what it was) all over footpaths, etc. there... not sure, maybe in ~1940s-50s? He spoke of drinking "plink", which was of a lower standard than "plonk". More than likely industrial/meth., or some such/related, rather than ethanol. Not recommending it.

... ah yes, here we go: Arthur Stace/Mr. Eternity. Got my dates a bit askew.

Why couldn't they be creative and call it Starry McStarface?

In other news, you'd be listening to horror stories coming out of the Royal Commission into the malfeasance in the Banking and Financial Services sector. Also the current government who stridently opposed the setting up of said Royal Commission now trying to desperately pretend it was their idea all along.
