Thanks for all your work, effCup. She was called Vickie Blaine in the mag fwiw. And here's one you missed. By the way, the editors of Figure Photography Winter 1972 mentioned this one when discussing Larry's submitted portfolio: "About the only photograph I can remember categorically ignoring and subsequently hiding was the one of a nude sitting astride a motorcycle wearing a (sigh) crash helmet."

You're right, I hadn't linked the daisies cover model with Vickie Blaine inside.

You're not saying the red-haired crash-helmet model is Vickie Blaine, though, are you?

There are some other Swank cover models that I suspect are also the work of Caye, but you've previously discouraged us from being too speculative here so I've (mostly) resisted.

Swank called the above cover model Chris Thornton.

No; the helmet girl is someone else. I just posted that to goad you a little. And yes; I'd rather keep this thread clean by only posting when we have some corroboration. I have some speculative notes, too but I'll wait for further evidence.

Damian on the cover & cf (p.39) of Swank, 1970-11.

The Latent Image Glamour Photo Manual, 1970, top centre.

The 1972-Spring catalogue, RH page, bottom, lists but does not show a model named Damian Zisk.

Not an id, just noting that she seemingly also went as Stephany Strange.

1978-Fall, RH page, row 2, middle.

Either that or they made a boo-boo.

Swank, 1970-06. Name unknown.

The Latent Image Glamour Photo Manual, 1970, bottom-right. Hair (wig?) shape & "texture" a bit different but nose, brows, eyes.

I could be wrong but I somehow don't think it is Andrea Jackson? 1972-Fall, top-right. Mainly from nose?

Hmmm, you seem to have missed this thread.

I don't have anything on the Stephanie Strange name so we'll have to leave this as an open question. I'll check some other catalogs to see if a different model may be pictured.

The Swank cover and the Glamour Photo Manual pic look like a good match to me. Trip and burpman are our best authorities on the black ladies so it would be beneficial to ask them to have a look. I have a note where an auction seller included the name Shirley Benson with a Swank 1970-06 listing but he didn't say if this was the cover model or someone inside.

Indeed. You seem to have missed adding it in the TLI models listing at the start of this thread. Understandably so, of course, as there's always so much to do/keep track of.

I guess I'm partly interested because the setting (& perhaps also the scarf, which I think I've seen elsewhere as dark-ish green?) seems familiar from some other models' sets.

1975-Spring, LH page, bottom left is Shirley Ray. Same pic. in 1975-Fall. I'd say she's the Swank cover model--resolution poor for nose but hair. I'd noted her presence earlier but failed to re-check her after comparing Andrea Jackson. Says she was in Players mag.

I've acquired a lot of catalogs since the original list was published so I'm sure there are other names which I don't have listed. I'll have to go through those catalogs I've not yet published and update the model list.

Here are a couple of Shirley Ray pics. That they are both named Shirley is indicative, I think.
