Today's drink is from Germany: Kulmbacher "Monchshof" Kellerbrau Unfiltered German Lager: Pours a cloudy brown color with a thin white head. Cloudiness does not go away even after several minutes. Alcohol content is 5.4% Tastes of strawberry(first beer I've had with that taste), clove, and minty with sweet roasted malts. Taste does not linger on tongue. Very good overall.

Today I had the dubious pleasure of driving across a frozen lake, 90' deep in some places, to put siding on a boathouse.
While we worked, we used an auger to drill a few holes in the ice and set up a few reels. Caught zero fish, but at least my hands made my pizza I had for lunch taste like it had rotten fish, aka anchovies, on it.
I think I'll have some bourbon and apple juice to celebrate 18" thick ice.

I'm drinking Brooklyn Brewery's Scorcher IPA which is possibly the best bitter I have ever had. I only bought it because their Brooklyn Lager (itself very tasty and in the style of an old school English beer but much better quality) was sold out.

I remember when Americans were lagging begind with Budweiser etc. They produce some quality aleas now and have done for a good number of years.
