When Jerry Brown isn't busy turning California into a magnet state for illegals (which the rest of the country thanks him for, actually) this is how he occupies his time:

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/07/health...ned/index.html

(CNN) Starting January 1, 2018, it will no longer be a major crime in California to knowingly expose a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection. Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation on Friday that lowers the offense from a felony to a misdemeanor. The California legislature passed SB 239 on September 11.

California farmers are heavily dependent on cheap migrant labor. Back in the day it was legal for folks to cross the border and go home for the winter. In addition, industries like the manufacture of pre-fab homes, hotels, and restaurants have been employing many undocumented workers. It's hard to find American workers in this high cost & high wage state willing to work their tails off for $7 to $10 an hour.

This is the second very questionable bill the gov signed this week. Please note that the California Assembly and Senate had to pass the bills before they arrived on his desk.

We are too, in the Northwest. People don't know that all the way back to the Second World War, Northwest fruit growers were asking Mexico to send farm workers-- and this was done legally, through the "Bracero" program.

Good article on this program, here:
https://oregonencyclopedia.org/artic...acero_program/

Its not like Bracero was any secret, but I still find that there are folks who don't know about it, which is amazing . . . our patterns of labor migration exist because we wanted them and indeed, paid for them.

There's no alternate source of farm labor . . . automation now makes some things possible by machine, but if you want a cherry picked by hand, that hand is going to be Mexican.

If you want somebody to to do dirty and dangerous work as a laborer at well below union scale wages, that body is likely to be a Latino, too.

That's like this all around the world.
In South of Italy that's Balkan slaves brought by the Balkanic mafias (yep... slaves) or legal or illegal North African migrants.

In Portugal or Spain that's North African people.

In Switzerland that's Portuguese or Polish people, who mainly have almost few education or were poor in their own country.

The Southern parts of the world do the jobs that the Northern people don't want to accomplish.

We still live in masters/slaves societies. Our new masters are customers and politicians. Their weapons are called... money, market, laws.

We don't see millions of Republicans (or European Nationalists) harvesting or building for 10$/hour. For sure not.

Default Intermezzo

The US and Turkey are blocking their Visa bilateral

First I thought it was all about this plastic money, as I have heard the news in the morning - NO!.

No, it's about the travel documentations.
Turkey has jailed a Turkish employee of the US-consulate in Istambul. Reason: terror suspect and being a member of the Gülem-movement.

Ok, that's easy done, because it seem that "Erdowahn" is being encircled from terrorists (as he thinks ! ).

Oh oh,
since the controversial with Germany (he held about 20 hostages - as we say - writer, reporter ect. with a German passport for the same reason) the Turkish-Lira felt within a year about 26%, 58% less tourists from Germany.

If that controversial with the US holds on for a while, they will have the absolute Mickey Mouse money over there…

I suspect that this may be part of Trump's fight with Tillerson. Trump and Erdogan got along fine, tyrant to tyrant. But Erdogan's security boys beat up protesters during his visit to the Caudillo, which didn't please the more starchy characters over at the State Department.

The Gulen story remains an utter mystery-- Gulen was an ally of Erdogan's and we know that the Turks had attempted to pay off General Flynn, our sometime National Security Adviser to have him abducted back to Turkey.

And then there's the Kurdish independence vote . . . a lot of moving parts here.

I've posted this issue myself: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t91...n-friends.html ..Post #3867

I think not! Tyrant to tyrant doesn't coming along very good.
Trump has taxed him as "not important" for his craving for recognition.

Gülem is still in the US.
He once was an ally of Erdowahn, felt in disfavour and fled in the US about ~2005.
Than Erdowahn accused him of being the head of the putsch in Summer 2016.

I badly think it was Erdowahn himself, who has revolted.
Reasons:
The coup was so dilettante for high class generals and army troupes, that it must fail. If I had to do it, I would be sure to cut of the head of the government at first, kill him or jail him. I would watch every single step he mad as he "awakes in the morning until he goes to bed in the evening". And he was on holiday in a beach club.... nothing easier than that for an armed military personal.

Within the next days Erdowahn had lists of about 50.000 (!) or more people, who are got jailed. Soldiers, generals, judges, lawyers, teachers, businessman ect., ect., ect..

That can't be coincidences.

Yeah, I fear they got fooled again. The Turkish military are making just at the moment an offensive in the north.
