Presumably-I once in New Caledonia (I was there for a conference) watched an episode of 'Taggart' dubbed into French whilst filling in time at the hotel.....quite how you do a Glaswegian accent in French I'm not sure.....what made it even more memorable-it was an episode I'd seen back at home in New Zealand only a few weeks earlier-so I could follow the dialogue almost from memory...I assume in France they have regional accents....(well I KNOW they do...)...so presumably there is one they consider the equivalent of Scottish...

I was thinking of my Da' when I hit my shin on the oven. He had the thickest upland brogue imaginable. (Where I learn't a smattering oh Gaelic). I swore in french and the wife said "Hunh??????"
