Gordie Howe
I've been sitting here for 20 minutes looking at the screen trying to compose a reply regarding Mr. Hockey. Can't express how important Gordie was to anyone growing up in the Detroit area. I tried to link to a Youtube vid that I had posted a while ago but it seems it's not available. One of the points made by Keith Olberman in the vid was that Gordie made his mark in the era before NHL expansion meaning that every game he played was against the best goaltenders in the world.
Perhaps, I'm not making a coherent statement,I'm just body slammed and very sad. Good speed Gordie Howe. |

RIP the 20 poor souls who went for a night out at a club and never came home in Orlando, Florida. Hopefully the 42 or so wounded will not add to the death toll.

Yes just seen that on the BBC website. Shocking really that a guy can get into a club with that type of weaponry. I expect sadly from what I am reading that the number of dead will increase as it says many of those 53 are critical. RIP.

Apparently the news have spoken to the killers father. This is what he had to say "We are saying we are apologising for the whole incident. We weren't aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country. "This had nothing to do with religion." He added his son "got very angry when he saw two men kissing" months before in Miami."
At least people have responded to the call for blood donations. Its possible that those dontaing will help some of the victims survive. |
