(On the phone) You can't do hot food in fifteen minutes - at least an hour.
At least an hour George, there's a convention in the hotel. I hope it's morticians because I may kill someone.

Not a crystal ball, just common sense foresight
"How many people have ever heard of the fact that on Wall Street they're trading pools of mortgage-backed securities, like mutual funds, but it's all mortgages? Those books are just as cooked as the books on Enron! And watch what happens to those investments in the coming years..."
- Michael C. Ruppert from a 2004 lecture warning of a coming economic collapse - two and a half years before before any mainstream media even began to report on it - and about three years before the collapse took place.

The line that almost killed me laughing, from the film Sightseers :
"That's not my vagina!!!" Although I feel it needs context to be truly (or even remotely) funny. My daughter almost joined me in death after seeing the film though A classic of (jet) black comedy PJayBr |

Without any prior warning and with no orders (except that he was supposed to fire a warning shot first), Colonel Eriksen found himself in the graveyard watch confronted by the spectacle of a flotilla of unknown warships, including two heavy cruisers, sailing straight past his guns. Who the hell were they? What were they up to? No one had told Colonel Eriksen that the war had come to Norway and he had to make up his mind instantly what he should do. He waited until the range was under 2,000 metres and then he started shooting, and no pissing about with a warning shot neither. He sank KMS Blucher and severely damaged KMS Lutzow and scored hits on a number of their escorts before the Kriegsmarine retreated, their surprise attack baffled and mauled by a garrison of reservists who had never in their lives fired a shot in anger before, led by a 64 year old man only weeks away from retirement. On board KMS Blucher were over 600 soldiers tasked to capture the port of Oslo and 40 Gestapo men specially tasked to capture the King of Norway. Not one of the Gestapo men survived the sinking and most of the soldiers also went down with the ship. At no stage until after the shooting stopped did anyone tell Colonel Eriksen what it was all about. He was forced from beginning to end to act on his own initiative. Quote:

Home
...I know you doubt me, I know you always have. And you're right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my books - and my armchair, and my garden. See that's where I belong. That's home. And that's why I came back, because - you don't have one. A home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can.

The sickest man in America
"It's 3rd Down and 3 Dallas at the Pittsburgh 10 - Roger back to throw, has a man open in the end zone - CAUGHT touchdown Oooh NO DROPPED! - back of the end zone Jackie Smith all by himself - bless his heart he's got to be the sickest man in America! Ohhhhh Jackie was so wide open in the end zone..."
-Super Bowl XIII, Jan. 21st 1979. Cowboys vs. Steelers. At the close of the third quarter with Pittsburgh leading by 7, back up Tight End Jackie Smith drops one of the biggest passes in Cowboys history. This one haunts me to this very day. I was nine years old when I watched this game, still remember it like it was yesterday.
